I think it'll be alright. They made Avengers Assemble and that is an awesome film and they're doing Avengers 2 the same year Star Wars is scheduled to be released so it's not going to go downhill (hopefully). Can't see where the story is going to go tho, that's the only problem. Everybody is too old now so they wont return and with different actors playing Luke, Han and Leia will be unthinkable.
Plus George Lucas is ok with it and he's going to be Creative Consultant so it'll be alright.

As long as Mark Hamill can make a comeback as old luke, and this is set decades after the Empire fell, then yes, I can see this.

Except for Carrie Fischer, she's going to have to lose a few

Disney is only a producer correct? then they cant really control it like they Produced the Marvel movies. Now if its like Percy Jackson one of my favoret books totally destroied by Disney, then i just might kill the CEO for killing another thing that should still be alive.if it is not Produced/a producer, then best pray now or go strike because we are screwed.

Disney is NOT making any Star Wars movies.
Yes. It is true. I REPEAT. DISNEY is not MAKING any Star Wars movies.

They just own the RIGHTS to Lucasfilm.

LUCASFILM which is now owned by Disney will be making the movies.

Lucasfilm is like Legislative Branch. One makes laws the other makes movies.
Disney is like the Executive Branch. One vetoes laws the other vetoes ideas
We are the Judicial Branch. One judges the law the other judges the movies.

Star Wars may not be teletubbies but it's not exactly Rated-R material.
Heck I'm not even sure if it's beyond a PG rating. If so it's PG-13 at best.

If you're worried it's going to be too childish you're worrying over nothing.

well he already ruined ep 1-3 with manakin skywalker and bad writing,
and Disney made avengers pretty sweet exept for some major plot holes <.<
it can be good if it a new story not with old characters maybe if it like kotor style but its the lack of blood that makes me worried

When I heard about this, I came.

Kathleen Kennedy is signed on as executive producer. She's apparently the Spielberg of producers. Also they've already said they're going to make it more Empire Strikes Back and less Phantom Menace, plus with George Lucas gone, it can't be worse than the worst of the 1st and 2nd
