I agree with Sora ! usually in the OP it would state prep.... Edo Tensi is not standard prep(dead bodies, DNA, time to use Edo tensi)

IIRC Edo Tensei users have all of the bodies they've shown to use ready to go-just need to summon them. It all depends on which Kabuto we're using here. In most cases that is the strongest form of Kabuto aka Kabuto during the war who had already prepared all of the Edo zombies. This seems to be implied when the OP writes no restrictions, but doesn't give any other information.

If we want to be super nitpicky here we should use current Kabuto who has no known Edos left and no more Orochi chakra/body mods meaning he can't use half of his demonstrated techniques including SM (and he's also stuck in his own mind oblivious to the outside world due to Izanami). In that case he'd get the crap kicked out of him.

No restrictions means there aren't any restrictions. Defaults still apply

A restriction would be like : Kabuto can't go SM or Hashi can't use wood style

Oro has never been able to use Edo Tensei without prep and I don't remember Kabs being any different

I know, but this is different than pretty much all other cases-the prep has already been done. Edo Tensei is just a summoning technique where you have to do a bit of preparation before hand. The same thing holds true with a normal summoning technique like the frogs. Naruto had to make a contract with them first and train the technique. He can summon them anytime and it doesn't require prep time for the current battle though because he has the contract. Prime Kabuto is the same situation-he spent months preparing the bodies, but now he just needs to summon them to the field. It's way different than standard cases of prep. like Jiraiya getting ready for Sage Mode or Shikamaru setting up traps.

Oro only used Edo in one fight so it wasn't really standard for him, but in those threads people didn't say prep/no prep-they just said normal Oro or Oro w/ Edo Tensei (because the only Edo's he showed were sealed way before he was killed and he showed a lot of new feats after that battle). Kabuto has used Edo Tensei at almost every opportunity since he was revealed to be capable of using the technique. Prime Kabuto already has his army ready to go, they just needed to be summoned.

Conclusion: Saying Prime Kabuto needs prep to summon the bodies is just wrong. "Oh Kabuto you spent months, preparing them...well guess what, we're saying that didn't happen and you need to do that graverobbing again." I agree that Current Kabuto would need prep to use Edo Tensei since he doesn't have any known bodies left, but that fight would be pointless since current Kabuto is also chilling in a genjutsu right now.

Kabuto has a crapload of defenses that would buy him time long enough to summon his edo. So yeah the wood man should lose.
