Edit: @Narutorious: Are you sure it was stated to be the 3rd Ninja War when Nagato used the Gedo Statue? I only remember it as being some random conflict between Early Akatsuki and Hanzo/Danzo.

i am pretty sure the whole danzo/ hanzo situation was a random ninja act tbh.

i really doubt it was during the 3rd world ninja war tbh.

Obito didnt change his mind just because of Rin. He was shocked by the fact that Rin was killed by Kakashi himself, the one that sworn to protect her no matter what. Obito then realized that this "reality" is so cruel and disgusting when comrades who'd fought together forever turned around and killed each other. Obito's decision was out of extreme frustration and sadness over this world, thats why he wanted to change it.
So people should stop complaining about "Obito did all this just because of his crush"

only thing im confused about.. the translation i got said nagato was senju descenent? was a mistranslation to say uzumaki decendent? or is nagato uzumaki/senju (godlike)?

Nagato is related to the Senju and uzuamki

He is mostly an uzuamki but the Senju and Uzuamki hooked up (in a way) so they are like one clan now...

I'll explain. in chapter 601 or 602, Obito asked Madara what he needed him for. He suggested help with his, 'lower parts'.

Since then, I have been saying that I, Obito Uchiha, have been obsessed with wrinkly old men, or Rin.

So I then asked now why I, Obito, was tortured with him turning younger.
(Yes, I know it was to prove a point, but Obito's character is now actually... existent, so I like to joke about him)

its more like hasty generalization to me.
for one he doesnt even know why Kakashi did it.
and yes he did change his mind because of rin. imagine if it were reversed and Kakashi was the one who died. do you still think he'd change?
we must not discount the fact that Obito likes Rin. thats the main reason he was affected that much. If Kakashi was the one who died he wouldnt go Berserk and kill everybody would he?

Whoever moved my thread... I respect the decision... oh well, I guess I wanted the other one moved into mine, but that was me being greedy... anyway.

So, if I could tell... myself, or the real Obito anything, I would say, HAVE Kabuto revive rin AND Madara, and have Madara break Rin's seal too.

(I think she's alive and hidden, but if not, I would say that ^)

... Well that was anti-climatic. Big long flashback and it boils down to almost nothing noteworthy. Rin died and Obito decided to abandon reality for his own personal fantasy where the living and dead will be reunited... It actually reminds me of the Emperors plan from Code Geass, except not as interesting.

Am I the only one who feels this entire Obito backstory was cooked up solely as a way to try to rush out an explanation for all the Uchiha related plot holes that have sprung up since Part II started? It sure feels that way...

Black Zetsu's origin was certainly anti-climatic... just a mook with a chip on his shoulder, it certainly explains his lackluster defeat against Chojuro (sp?).

I'm not sure I like the Gedo Mazo being the 10 Tails zombified remains... How can a creature made of chakra leave a corpse if its chakra was divided out into smaller monsters? When Kurama had half its power taken away by the Reaper Death Seal it made him smaller, so shouldn't the 10 Tails body simply have dissappeared when the Sage of the Sixth Paths split it all up between the Bijuu?

I haven't seen anyone comment on this yet, but is that black rod thingy Madara created supposed to be the chakra rods that the Gedo Mazo stabbed into Nagato?

It was during the third war. Nagato said his little country of ame, in the center of the countries, was used as a battle ground.

Yeah, cuz the second war was when Jirayia found them and the third was when they were old enough/skilled enough to fight.

what do you mean "in a way"? they were actually hooked up, the first hokage was married to a Uzumaki woman, who was capable of sensing hostility (that's why nine tails Naruto was able to sense bad vibes from henge no jutsu zetsus)
