Chapter was good, except for one thing. When Hayley found out that Devroux had powers, it kind of felt forced. Hayley just accepted it while she herself had been going insane about herself having powers. It just didn't feel organic while I was reading it.

Eh, it just seems more legitimate than her accepting the fact that her and her friend both have superhuman powers. I mean, how often does it happen that you AND your best friend each get superpowers?

I don't see why it matters. Why do characters ALWAYS have to be skeptical of everything they see? I mean, she saw it with her eyes. Seems good enough to me.

Because Hayley is more or less a skeptical character, or at least when it comes to the paranormal.

Although I believe that this is simply a group/mob mentality reasoning effect, even if one that was barely and poorly dwelt on.

Until when Dev completely masters his Devil Fruit, which is right about when he proceeds to dominate the entire story and more or less deem one half of the cast completely useless and/or irrelevant.
