Unlikely. That's a big stretch since they hadn't even begun collecting the bijuu yet, they'd have to pacify Rin for a long long time. And there doesn't seem to be any need for a holding jinchurriki since they're all stored in the Gedo. Seems to be an uneccessary step. Repeatedly put bijuu into Rin and combine them into the 10 tails, the statue handles that already. And since you see what happens to even Naruto before he could control Kurama, that adds a real unpredictable element/step.

Good guess but the way Sasuke and Orochimaru acted when they were talking about these people sort of suggests they were more important than the elders. Maybe Sasuke was referring to when everything was born. Clans, Villages, Shinobi. Im not sure that the elders can answer these kind of questions.

That is true but they werent around during the foundation of the Village. Sasuke did include that in one of his questions to Orochimaru.

Idk what Hasirama or Tobirama would've told them but they couldnt have told them everything. Remeber after Madaras assult Tobirama founded the Konoha Police Force and made the Uchiha in-charge. Remember the reasons? I dont think that would've been something he would have revealed that to his students. And they werent advisers at that time so they couldn't have known.

ahh I'd have to say I don't agree with Rin being a rogue ninja at all it has been shown several times that in those times each village coveted each others prize military battle stregnths especially those with specialized chakra natures and not just for bijuu's but( mainly military stregnth) for instance the lightning technique of the four lightining users, the secret seal technique of utakata's student can't recall her name at the moment, even the cloud trying to abduct kushina from konoha, I think she was likely an uzumaki or a descendent of a clan that was wiped out and had fled to konoha ( uzumaki's because they have been shown to have spread very wide in the ninja world from pain in the mist to utakat's student( just speculation that she was uzumaki because of her hair and ability's and chakra nature's its been shown that they are primarily wind( in rare cases) but water and earth style user's by mokuton and second hokage's water style prowess and even pain as a child had water and wind style's to begin with in jairaiya's flashbacks) I know that senju and uzumaki aren't the same but they are close enought to draw madara's wrath and attention and if madara notices the senju in you youre a senju). if not a uzumaki there could be several other clans she could of been a member of that were coveted and many others we may not know of like (kimimaro's the kyuga) or even how the byakugan is so coveted she had a special eye which probably would of later been a kekkai almost all characters with a weird eye formation are members of clan with a kekkai its been shown also her kimono marking isn't found in the current leaf village anywhere.

maybe the founders of each clan uchiha and senju respectively hasha and maddy weren't the first they were just the most prominent in the age of war and the two strongest when the five great nations became about so maybe the orginal founders were most likely the eldest and yougest son of the rikudo my guess

Madara and Hashirama definitely weren't the first of their clans but the current leaders due to them being the most powerful shinobi of those clans (and the world) at the time. There is, however, no way to tell how much time passed between the sage's (and his sons') time and Hashirama and Madara's time. But it does feel like a really long time between those two eras.

I doubt it's the Leaf Village elders. After everything those two have done, I doubt they'd even be able to talk to each other.

It has to be someone/something much older, like one of the animal summons areas.

When obito hit the mist guy in the face was that a mist head band or a leaf head band? It kinda looked like the leaf to me. He rages harder after that too.

Ok, here's my plot idea combined with some of the posts here:

Rin is an artificial body made by Danzo from birth for spying and was in a test-run. Wanting to take her back without raising suspicion on himself, Danzou sends her and Kakashi alone, away from the Fourth, for retrieval during this ambush made to look like the Mists did it.

Along the battle she probably starts fighting against Kakashi due to prior brainwash. The fight ends with him killing her with his signature move, making him awaken his MS, but can't stay awake due to chakra strain, while Obito can and goes in his tree carnage mode.

The mists, who are root ninjas, are smart enough to wear masks with mist symbol, but too confident/lazy/patriotic? to give up their leaf head bands. Consequently, Obito sees it, while breaking the mask of the impaled ninja, and gets in a deeper despair. Obviously a faster and gorier death comes for the rest of them. Pity. Being leaf the ones who attacked Rin, is the nail in the coffin in his decision to join Madara and become Tobi.

What do you guys think? I think it's semi-plausible.
