The Hidden Mist has been shown to use a lot of deception and other visual illusions. Maybe in all reality Kakashi got over confident with the Sharingan and with the pressure of trying to save Rin hit her by mistake.

Then again When Kakashi dies during the Pain Arc he says something along the lines of "Im sorry I couldnt save your Rin," or "I couldnt save Rin, I broke my promise to you"..This could also mean that it is Zetsu copying Kakashi and attacking her to get Obito on their side. Something I saw was that Kakashi's mask was still cut from when he got the eye transplant...Why would it still be like that now...Zetsu would have seen him like that when they first found or saw Obito getting crushed. But in the last Panel it did look like Kakashi was crying.

Nope dude kakashi was crying,zetsu wouldn't cry for that also I got a solid explanation.


They were probably surrounded my many,many ninja and they couldn't get away...both.So 1 had to die to not slow down the other one and kakashi though he HAS to get away cuz if rin got away and kakashi died mist ninjas would be all over his corpse and would know the secret of sharingan.You remember what he said in 1st chapters "ninja's corpse is a treasure" something along those lines,he could not allow mist to get his eye..so he sacrificed rin to protect the village.

They could have slplit up into 2 different directions at least

And if they were surronded where were the mist nin.

I am guessin gthe battle was over and maybe Kakashi put Rin out of her misery from the battle

i think minato is stupid making decision. 16 years ago, when the kyubi attack konoha, should be other better option than his death. he could think another way to stop the kyubi, he just too hasty making decision. the third hokage still alive and is there at that time, why not he and the third hokage stop the kyubi together, kushina and his life could be spared. look how he let obito and rin die.

Consider this also, we saw kakashi's eye with tears in it (well Obito's eye but you know what I mean). Think about what we know about Zetsu, and his ability to copy and record perfectly what is happening.

Zetsu would have had the opportunity to observe Kakashi and Rin right when Obito was being crushed. That being said, we can argue that perhaps what had happened was actually something that was constructed! Remember some time had passed, this didn't happen right after Obito supposedly died, it likely happened a bit later down the line. With that knowledge and the fact that Kakashi and Rin looked similar to the way they did when Obito last saw them, we should be able to make a legitimate argument (based on what we know about Zetsu's abilities) that this was a set up, and Kakashi didn't actually kill Rin.

My biggest piece of proof though, as I said already, would have been the tremendous amount of guilt he would have felt for Rin's death if it were by his hand. I don't think he would have as much guilt if she'd have died some years later in another squad (once Obito was gone they were likely reassigned). But had he been a direct cause, it would have been known through the series by his actions.
