URPT Round 2: 11. Nactis Arashee vs 13. Shana Silica

Location: The Pit

You are above a large pit, the bottom cannot be seen. The pit itself seems to be at least a mile in radius and surrounded by sand. You find yourself on a network of steel walkways, barely able to fit one person.

Distance: 10 feet

Rules: Pain Gamble (Pit)

Spoiler:

Absolutely NO flight/levitation. Flight/levitation results in instant-DQ. Falling into the pit means death.

Each turn, you will do a dice roll. 1d6.

Depending on what you get, determines how much pain/injury you experience. This injury is unavoidable. Wound resembles a sword slash of varying intensity.

1-3 = Minor flesh wound (arm)
4-5 = Moderate flesh wound (torso)
6 = Severe wound (torso/arm)

If one rolls two 6's in a row, they lose their arm. If one rolls 3 of any number in a row, the opponent experiences said numbers effect on top of what they roll.

I balance atop the small metal beam, suspended above the endless pit below me. I look down, just to find out how deep that thing is. "Well, Damn." I take quick note of the surroundings. Hmm. No ground nearby... So, crystals formed from the ground are out of the question. Guess I gotta crack down and find my own way to make some. I think to myself. I gaze at my opponent. Doesn't look too strong. But hey, everyone in this tournament is more than meets the eye. That chick I fought last gave me a run for my money, even though I thought I was on my game. A slight breeze passes through the area(This isn't an attack, just a description of the area). I lick my lips, the air made them pretty chapped. Even though this only makes them better for a short amount of time, I prefer it this way. My skin begins to rip apart and a decent sized wound appears. I grab my chest from the pain. My balance gets thrown off and I almost fall off of the small metal bar. "WOAH. Can't die yet..." I say to myself. Right after I'm done talking I cough up a bit of blood. It feels as if I'd been slashed with a sword by a boxer. "Dear Gawd. Well, if it's worth anything, hey" I shout out to my opponent. "My name's Nactis." I know that I'm supposed to fight this dope, but maybe I can make him go a little easier on me if I make friends with him. "'Sup?" I hold my right hand behind my back and gather all the carbon possible around it. Once an adequate amount has gathered, I force the carbon to form an axe like shape. My focus is diverted away from the forming of the carbon to the wound. It's flaring up again, and I cough up just a small bit more blood. I try to disregard the wound and apply an insane amount of pressure on the carbon that has formed behind me. A diamond axe forms in my hand, due to the carbon and pressure together and the form that I forced the carbon to take. This axe looks a ton different than a regular axe, due to my focus being taken away from the formation of the carbon. The axe looks like this:

Axe in hand, I show my opponent my right hand. "This axe, is formed of complete diamond. Pretty shiny, huh?" I joke. I suddenly think of a last minute strategy. This will totally work. I think to myself. I use my mastery over pressure to my advantage to slowly crush the metal platform below my opponent. Hopefully he/she won't find out about my attack until it's too late. The metal bar is slowly being compressed and shrinking. While he/she is bothering with the bar shrinking, I take aim with my axe. I chip off a bit of the of my axe to form a small bit of diamond dust on the top. I take in to account the breeze and adjuct my aim accordingly. I toss the axe at my opponent, looking to get a clean headshot. It probably won't happen, but it's more than worth a shot. The axe flies through the air with a weird spin, due to the irregular shape of the thing. "Try not to die!" I playfully say to him/her. "It is really great weather for a fight. Sunny, a small breeze, and it smells like tulips. What more could a person want? Well, besides a big booty ho." This was an obvious reference to the 2 Chainz song Birthday Song. "In fact, it is my birthday today. So I believe I am entitled to a big booty ho." I focus caron over my opponents head, and apply pressure to it. I make sure to force a greater amount of carbon than before to be condensed in that one spot. I apply pressure to the carbon, slowly turning it into a big bulky diamond. While applying the pressure, I grip my wound. "Damn it!" I yell. Once the diamond is finished forming, it is about 2 foot long by 6 foot tall, while being pointed at the bottom. I apply pressure right above the diamond, and it goes speeding downward at my opponent, attempting to skewer him/her, crush him/her, or just knock him/her off of where he's/she's standing and fall into the pit.

Shana stood in front of Nactis, wearing a black outfit that covered Shana's entire body from head to toe. The form was not fitting, making it impossible for Nactis to even be able to tell Shana's gender. Shana looked forward at Nactis as three men shouted from the sand outside of the pit, "You can do it Shana, we know you can."

Shana extended a gloved hand out of the black suit and raised her hand at the three fans as if to thank them. The three guy's eyes were filled with glee until Shana's hand turned around and changed its gesture to a middle finger. One of the other two guys shouted, "Why won't you accept our fandom Shana? We just want to cheer you on!"

Shana ignored the question and turned to face Nactis as they stood atop a metal beam over a large pit. The pit didn't bother Shana who feared heights just about as much as a normal person would fear a gummy bear. Standing there, Shana was surprised as Nactis had a wound appear on his chest, even though he had not been attacked. Shana then noticed that strangely, the same thing happened again, except it had happened to Shana's arm.

Shana didn't budge at all, it was almost as if the pain was enjoyable. As they stand there, Shana watches Nactis create a diamond axe in his hands. A normal person would probably be frightened by the sight, but Shana was no normal person. Shana had really unique abilities which at that point would only be strengthened by the surrounding conditions. Nactis shows the axe off as if Shana didn't see it already and jokingly asks a question. Shana wouldn't respond though and would instead stay emotionless.

As Shana stands there, the bar begins to compress. As per usual, Shana remains emotionless, only making sure to keep balance while one eye is kept on Nactis. Shana realizes that if Nactis would only be compressing the ground, that that wouldn't be the main part of his attack. Even if it were to have been, Shana isn't affected by such things. Falling is something that just doesn't happen to Shana. As Shana stands there, a breeze blows and shows a sinister grin on Shana's face momentarily. As soon as Shana sees Nactis move his arm forward to throw his axe, something unexpected happened.

Shana stepped off the bar and began falling into the pit as the axe flew by where Shana's head was previously. Nactis must have though Shana was an idiot upon seeing that. He didn't let his guard down though as Shana noticed carbon appearing above her head. Instead of moving out of the way automatically, Shana figured a little fun was in order as a piece of bar from a further off mysteriously broke off. Shana made it seem like it would be an easy win for Noctis until a long, pink, sticky, strong, bubble gum-like substance shot out from beneath the suit's sleeve and wrapped itself around a metal bar. The extra time it would take for the falling diamond to reach Shana, who was already falling, would give Shana ample time to escape, even with the diamond's extra speed.

Shana used the substance like a vine swinging underneath the bars of the battlefield. Shana had fallen far enough to not be seen, though Nactis would be able to see the pink substance if he looked in the right spot. However, Shana wouldn't be on the web anymore. Instead, about one hundred feet behind Nactis, Shana seemingly floated into the air standing on the piece of bar that had mysteriously broken off while Nactis was making his diamond. Shana jumped off the bar and onto a beam, landing gracefully as the clouds began to block out the sun and would block it out for the next couple hours.

With that, Shana grinned and took off some clothes until Shana's attire had changed completely. One thing became apparent automatically as Shana caught Nactis' attention and that thing was that Shana was a girl, wearing a fairly revealing outfit. She stood on the beam and spoke, "You're not going to beat me with little attacks like that hun. Even in the sunlight, I can evade your weak attacks. I see the fear in your eyes. You don't have the ability to laugh in the face of falling do you? You don't have multiple ways to pull yourself back up, do you? Your powers have no flexibility."

"That's right fool, no one can beat Shana," the guy who had yet to speak yelled out, "She's unstoppable. Her abilities are matched by no man."

"He is correct. In fact, I think I should give you a demonstration of my powers," Shana began as she conjured a dagger in her hand and covered it in the pink substance she had been using. She tossed the dagger off to the side as it stabbed the guy who had just yelled out her name, in the heart. As it did so though, pink liquid gushed out of the wound as his body began to corrode completely and he screamed in pain. Moments later, he was dead. Shana smiled, "Such weak pitiful creatures you three are. I am not going to accept any of your proclamations of love, but I can at least make you useful as examples."

"Shana-san, you don't mean that," said one of the guys, "We love you."

Shana grunted as a piece of a metal bar broke off flew up slightly and stabbed that guy through the chest. Shana looked back to Nactis and continued speaking, "I'm able to cut things and control them with my mind. However, I will not cut the ground beneath your feet. I have a strict moral code that states that all my opponents should have a chance to block my attacks. It would be unfair for me to abuse my powers in such a way. I will however do everything I can in an attempt to overwhelm you. For now though, I think it's best to keep things simple. Eat corrosive goo!"

With those words, Shana pointed her palms toward and Nactis and made repetitive quick palm thrust motions as about fifty pink arrows shot toward Nactis, each one was very acidic, able to corrode away a human body if they were to hit. She figured that wouldn't be enough though and conjured four daggers in each hand which she threw toward Nactis, hoping that the barrage of attacks would end things quickly before she had to get serious. As Nactis defended against the attacks, she shot another pink sticky substance from her hand and shot it across the the battlefield toward the sand area where a spiked metal bat was lying on the ground. She pulled the bat over to herself and swung it onto her shoulder as she looked to see how well Nactis defended the attacks. She looked to him and smiled, "What is your name, boy?"

So, this stuff is like acid. Not the fun tripping balls acid, the burn your skin off your body acid. "Please, don't act like I didn't already tell you my name," I joke to her. Before I can further engage her in a conversation, she flings the webby pink stuff at me. Am I boned? Maybe. While the projectiles are flying through the air towards me, one last thought crosses my mind. Maybe I could use my agility to my advantage here. This stuff she threw will burn me alive pretty much, so I gotta get out of the way.

When the projectiles are about 10 feet away. I do the unthinkable. Others would call me borderline crazy, if they had no clue what I was doing. I drop off of the bar I'm standing on. I fall downwards. Right before all hope would be lost for me. I wrap my palms around the bar I was standing on. The strands of pink goo fly over my head, and they begin eating away at one of the bars a ways away from me. Lucky me.

I spot the daggers flying through the air at me. Oh god. I focus carbon in the air and apply pressure to it to form a square sheet of diamond. Still using my mastery over pressure, I push the square sheet forward to intercept the daggers. The sheet of diamond meets the daggers about 30 feet in front of me. The daggers bust through the diamond sheet with relative ease and continue sailing through the air. The daggers are thrown off course from the sheet of diamond. Damn, that was too close.

I attempt to pull myself up onto the bar, but a wound mystically appears on my body. It's pretty big, and goes from my shoulder to the middle of my chest. It's also way deep. "Ah! Shit!" I have to push through the pain though, to propel myself upward and balance myself on the bar. I am now laying on my stomach clenching to the bar for my life. I slowly compose myself and stand up. I make sure to pay attention to my balance, to safeguard myself.

Once I'm sure that I won't fall off, I utter these cocky words. "So, a projectile battle? Come at me!" I meld 3 pointy diamond spears from the carbon around, and increase the pressure around them all. Two of the spears fly directly at your arms, while one is way off and flies above you. Now. When the spear is directly above you, the spear shatters due to me increasing the pressure around it. All that's left of the spear is a sparkly dust. It is falling right on top of you (it is about 6 feet above you). Let's see if this will work!

Nactis had done some odd things to avoid Shana's attacks. He started off by falling off and catching onto the beam he was standing on to avoid the pink acid. He then used a thin diamond sheet to throw the daggers off course, as opposed to just blocking them. Shana thought that was quite odd, but she wasn't there to question her opponent's style of fighting.

As Nactis gets baced up onto his bar, she noticed him writhe in pain, and used those seconds to back up and increase her distance from him. As she backed up, she felt another cut in her arm, but again, it was so weak, that she didn't even flinch. She stood back, at the ready, waiting for Nactis to launch an inevitable attack. She was sure that she was ready for anything.

Nactis slowly got back up to his feet and looked toward Shana. Shana stared back at him, with great focus, especially on her feet. Finally, Nactis would launch his attack. He created three diamond spears from the carbon in the air, to shoot at Shana. Shana was ready for it though, the extra focus she had put on her feet was to make her sticky pink bubble gum substance on her feet. She stepped off the side, keeping her feet on the beam and quickly fell until she was standing at an angle perpendicular to the ground.

The diamond spears were all aimed higher than her, so they would miss her entirely. However, as she noticed that he wasn't launching anymore attacks, she was positive that there was more to the attack (which would be confirmed by her heightened sense of hearing), and so she slipped herself backward until she was standing upside down on the bottom of the beam, as she prepared a more adequate defense.

She could hear the pressure building up, and was making a defense that would stop the shards from hitting her. She swung her body upward while creating a shell of blades around her body. When she swung upward, she used her sticky pink bubble gum substance again, on her hands so that she could completely stick to the bottom of the beam with all fours. The shards would hit the exterior of her shell, but they wouldn't be able to penetrate it, and being huddle up against the beam protecting completely by her blades, would make her a smaller target.

As soon as she could sense the attack had completed, she decreased the stickiness of the substance on her hands, and walked back onto the top of the beam. Shana used her mind to cut off five foot portions of beams far off to her right and left and used her mind to throw them at Nactis. They would come in from either side, attempting to pierce him. As the beams aimed for that, she placed her hand on the beam as it began to melt.

Quickly, the beam continued to melt, on a path toward Nactis. It was set to melt the bar under his feet and extend fifty feet behind him. As the attack aimed for Nactis, she also conjured up a pair of pink, acidic, circular saw blades and threw them like a Frisbee, to hover just a half an inch about the beam, toward Nactis. As she did that, the beam under her feet swung backwards be didn't break off. As she still had her sticky substance on her feet, she wouldn't fall off. She was merely bending the bar with her mind.

When it finished bending, the front of her body was facing the ground as she looked up at Nactis to see how he would defend himself. As she looked up, she teased him, "You're a might strong man, aren't you Nactis? I like strong men. What do you say you forfeit the match and I show you my boobs? It seems like a fair trade-off. You must be tempted to see them, right hun?"

"Yeah, show them," her only remaining fanboy shouted, "Show us those tatas Shana. Wo-"

Before he could finish speaking he went entirely mute. Shana coldly said to him, "I didn't offer for you to see them you perverted bastard. Go back home and watch porn. This offer is only for Nactis, and I will rip your eyeballs if he accepts the offer. Your fate is in his hands. So, make a girl happy and accept the deal, Nactis."

Imma just say this. He's makin something float to hold himself up. Isn't that against the rules? He's holding the bar up, and the bar is holding him up. Technically that's him holding himself up(transitive property) an should be a DQ. >.>

This is an RP, I should be getting brownie points for creativity not being nitpicked on technicality that only one or two people might even think of. Especially when it's just some thing that some random dude decided was 'real'.

For my final argument, I also proved the I could maneuver through air in other ways. DQing for some bs like this would just be DQing me for using pizazz!

1 Die Roll Just kidding, lawlz.

"Lame dodge Shana, lame dodge," I tease her as she is readying her own attack. Pieces of the beam she is suspended on get cut off, via mind manipulation I infer. Really, what else could it be? They hover in the air for a few seconds then they proceed to fly through the air at myself. Well, I've got this in the bag, I think to myself. As the bits of the beam are flying through the air towards me I hold my two arms out, hands semi open(as if I was holding a weapon). Two thick bladed crystal swords slowly form in each palms. I make sure that the weapons have enourmus amount of carbon in them, to make the weapons insanely dense and stable. I bring both swords down at the beams when they reach me. A low clank sound is heard, right before I force both beams down into the pit below, all while retaining my balance. Well that was harder than I thought it would be... Oh god there's more.

The third bar comes my way and I look closely at it. More pink goo. I begin to inch my way to the side, slowly but surely. I realize that I'm probably going to have to jump to a perpendicular beam, but I have one last thing to do before that. I throw the sword in my left hand at the beam speeding towards me. It makes contact but the sword just falls down. The beam is a little off target, but will still hit me if I don't do anything. Again with the jumping. I take a small, mini leap forward to ensure myself that I can keep my balance. I land just fine and decide to take the real jump. I leap across the small diagonal to the other perpendicular beam safely. The bar that was shot at me makes contact with the first three beams and disintegrates them completely before the beam originally used as a projectile by Shana falls into the pit, never to be seen again.

I check back to get a good idea of how the terrain is now. It doesn't look good for me. I'm stuck on this single straight beam for about 50 feet, then 2 bars connect the beam I'm on with a parallel one. "Dear lord." I speak to myself. Without much time to react, pink disks are already about to hit me. These are the same color as the pink goo from earlier is, so I'm guessing that this stuff will corrode as well, I think to myself. With close to no time to react, I do the only rational thing. I hop over the disks. I almost slip when I land back on the beam, but I am able to steady myself. "Too close for comfort..." I hear something that rivals the sound of a buzzsaw mixed with acid burning through something. Without even looking backwards I know what happened. Oh god. I look behind me and I'm right. The bar connected to mine is slowly disintegrating. The acidic goo keeps eating away at the beam on my side. I saw off part of the beam that is about to be disintegrated. The goo has nothing left to disintegrate and falls into the pit below, while I'm stuck suspended on a single bar, about 15 feet away from the next beam. Not jumpable distance.

"Oh god, oh god, what do I do now? OW DAMMIT ALL" skin on my left arm begins tearing, forming a flesh wound. "Why isn't this bothering her at all?" I say aloud. "I'm over here getting severely hurt and she's not even getting a scratch. And you know something Shana? I would love to see your lucious boobs. Show me right now. I think I actually have a shot here, so you show them and I'll let you die quick and painless. I'm ready for anything you've got to throw at me, no matter what it is. Your pink goo doesn't have anything on my crystals. This will truly be a battle to the death, and I wish you the best of luck. Now prepare to be annihilated!" Damn, I wish this was on tv. That motivational speech was quite awesome.

I lay my sword on the beam, flat. I condense all the carbon I can into the vicinity of the sword to enlarge the sword and stretch it into a platform. I carefully cross the platform, then dispel all the carbon and platform dissappears completely. I take a deep breath, then begin to think of a strategy for an attack. It's gotta be something powerful, but also strategic... Hm... "Time to debut my most powerful power!" I announce to Shana. The carbon from that I used for the platform forms into a crystal spear above the beam I just walked off of. The spear is crushed by the pressure I apply to it, via my brain waves. The crystal is reduced to diamond dust, that slowly falls on top of the beam. A tiny crystal forms above my hand and it gets crushed as well. The dust attaches itself to the beam, and my hand. I snap my fingers, and the beam rises in the slightest bit. If you weren't looking directly at it, you'd have no way of seeing that it moved. I thrust my fist forward, and the beam flies at you. I do arm circles and include my hand in the motion. The beam(which is about 10 feet long) flies in circles around Shana, dropping some diamond dust down on top of her. Hopefully the diamond dust will make contact and will attach to her. I force my arm downward and when the beam is directly above her it falls down at her with great speed, threatening to give her a concussion, and knock her into the pit below. For a final demonstration, I thrust forward and back multiple times to try to impale her with the threatening beam.
