Guys, there's gonna be a Comic Con at New York next week. I got tickets for Friday, and I heard a playable demo of Storm 3 is gonna be there. Looks like I'll be able to play the demo...

thats old news about them being at NY comic con lol well it will be the same old demo Mega so i dont know if you would enjoy it much since weve seen it like 50 times lol

Surprising they are gonna have it there this year. Because last year, when I went to Comic Con, I thought they were gonna have Generations, but they didn't.

The 2012 New York Comic Con (NYCC) is fast approaching and Namco Bandai Games will be delivering a few goods at the event, which runs from October 11-14 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. That includes a playable demo of Naruto Storm 3 as well as the chance to meet CyberConnect2 President and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama! Check out the press release from Namco Bandai Games below.

My friend played the demo at eurogamer last week,was very impressed but he said that it was the same as any other Storm game (gameplay wise),then played Storm 2 at my home and realised the demo was much better.

The demo has ages that's been around now and shows an early point of development of the game which doesn't really matter now as it has advanced further enough.

Hmmm....the Comic Con eh? If the president of CC2 will be there, perhaps he'll be showing something new? Usually he likes showing off things. I remember for Storm 2 at one point he was showing off parts of the boss battles to a crowd ahaha.

there is going to be some big news from there according to namco bandai, i also picked this out from the statement that informed us that Storm 3 will be at NY Comic Con:

I hope they fix Kid Kakashi for the full game... don't you? Dat tilt > enemy tech > Chidori - unblockable. Also, dat tilt alone, and jutsu I-frames.

kid kakashi is one of my favs from gen but he is overpowered. but who is to say he is even in storm 3? might not be.

the anime progression before the games release looks promising. im not sure if cc2 learned from their mistakes though as it looks like they have made spamming worse. minatos rasengan seems to have perfect tracking and its startup seems decreased.

oh yeah for sure, updates are needed for many chars like the ones u mentioned.... especially since this game has been 2 years into conception...i think updates will happen so far we learned the yellow flash has a brand new awakening jutsu...and other chars will be updated...but yes we need info asap.

It's kind of a downer that I won't be at Comic Con on Sunday, I am going Friday however. The game looks promising though. I cannot wait to see this "announcement" on the 14th!

my idea to cut back on spam
.................................................. ......

a jutsu bar with 4 bars that is empty at the start of each round

only fighting directly with combos fills the bar (not support, ougi, grab, kunai or items etc)
(long range fighters can fill it with either melee or ranged combos due to the way they are designed)

jutsu can't be used with empty chakra even if the jutsu bar is full
(chakra recharges when against big awakenings to keep things fair)

ougis require the jutsu bar to be full and 3/4 chakra (both reset after each attempt, if you wan't to use ougi's simply don't rely on spamming jutsu )

the bar would fill reasonably quick based on combo length etc to keep things fast paced and not kill the fun

Tat's a terrible idea. It would feel too restricted. It'd just be Ultimate Tenkaici all over again.

was just putting it out their, ougis don't need to be affected etc


however having a jutsu match withthe opponent being a moron isn't exactly a great game experience either

the whole battle system really needs to be remade from scratch last i checked people found gen to be beyond broken

1 jutsu - full damage
2 - 3/4 of damage
3- 1/4 of damage
4- your jutsu wouldn't appear and your char would merely struggle.

with the whole fatigue thing? yh, thats a gd idea instead of restricting justu. have it get weaker the more it is used in match that way everybody wins lol

^ Yeah it could have like a 15 count cooldown, do 1 jutsu, do another and you'll do 3/4's of damage, and after that just wait 15 counts and you can do a full damage jutsu again.
