Are you serious.. that is pretty one-sided when you did not mention the conditions Saskue was under

-Saskue was faced away from Sai
-Saskue was lying down in bed
-Saskue knew he was there
-Saskue probably wanted the explosion to attract the others
-Saskue did not have to blow up the room to escape yet chose that as an option
-Saskue was pissed off
-Sai was holding back and did not want to kill him

Even with both wings CS2 Sasuke seemed more of a glider type

Sai Shaft also has no need to even be in the vicinity
as his ink jutsu has a will of it's own (otherwise it would
be impossible for it to be of any worth in tracking.)
This is a huge advantage as Sai Shaft just can retreat
and let his army of ink monsters do the work.

Sasuke might be able to avoid being captured
but he will most likely drain himself of chakra
doing so. Three or four chidoris would be his limit
and Sai can use Ink Lions and Ink Giants to force
Sasuke to use more powerful jutsu.

Also as long as Sai Shaft can keep Sasuke busy
he can use Ink Tiger and then it's game over.

If Sasuke knew Sai Shaft was there why does
it matter if he faced away or lying down in bed?

there are tons of ways he could have escaped
-chodori current so the ink snakes would be ineffective
-cutting the ink snakes
-CS2 transformation
-summoning Manda
-genjutsu
-subsitution
-other

I doesn't matter that Sasuke was facing away, he knew he was there and chose not to turn around.

Once again that was his choice not to get up when Sai showed up.

He knew he was there and yet you think that the first two conditions are even a factor, but they're not.

Sasuke didn't want to attract the others, he didn't even care that they were there.

Sasuke is always pissed of what else is new?

Sai holding back doesn't really help your case much.

You can't prove that Sasuke did HAVE to use the explosion to get away from Sai's snakes, but as powerful as he is, not he ever teenage Sasuke has Sakura's Physical strength which was the only thing other than a jutsu that could break them.

Still does not prove that Sai can capture Saskue. Ink Snakes would easily be broken out of in CS2!

It would end up being an aerial battle anway and his aerial birds seem weaker than land ink animals.

Chodori can easily slice through the ink and he has fire for long ranged attacks

Also Sasuke being pissed off would suggest he WASN'T holding back.

I don't think Sasuke could summon Manda yet.

We don't know what chidori current does to Sai Shaft's ink.

But yes perhaps Sasuke could escape.

Still, I don't think Sasuke was trying to lure anyone out.
I think he just got pissed said "screw it I'm exploding the room"
and that just happened to attract Naruto. Sasuke
doesn't care about Naruto and flies away. The end.

because the chodori current is a higher level lighting nature attack which pierces and the snake have not shown to be very durable while the snake are thin and weaker and Sai does not use those ink animals in battle often and If Sai knew that the ink was that strong than he would have used it against Saskue

Sai Shaft didn't know Sasuke had chidori current and by the time
he did he was already in shock.

Maybe it would nullify the ink.

Sai Shaft just draws more snakes and makes Sasuke waste his chakra.

More Chidori Stream?

or more Ink Snakes?

Now you might think Sasuke because he has the larger chakra pool.

But I'm pretty sure Chidori Stream takes more chakra than Ink Snakes.

Also Sai Shaft can create distance and keep attacking from afar
while Chidori Stream is a short distance attack.

You know what would make these easier?

If Kishimoto had a point system for

total chaka
chakra points per jutsu

and all that jazz.

-he has less chakra
-he has less stamina
-he has a LIMITED INK SUPPLY
-He has to waste time drawing the snakes

so Sai is using time.ink, and chakra.. while Saskue is just using chakra
