If Yamato had did that again he probably would have died.
Even if Yamato has the upper hand in Justus, combat (eh), and long range he would've run out chakra by the time he is able to finish Kimi off

And the reason kimi showed such great "stamina" was because he fought lee and naruto with taijutsu! So he hadnt used any chakra when gaara came, so he used up all his chakra to fight gaara! And he'd have to counter yamatos ninjutsu with ninjutsu, not taijutsu, as he could do against lee and naruto! therefore, I dont think kimi has the upper hand when it comes to statima!

Chakra is pretty much their stamina. What kind of ninjutsu does Yamato have that can kill Kimimaro?

You misunderstood. When I mean "if he did again" I mean like right after. Obviously he's not gonna die after he regains his breath

I don't see how Yamato can hurt Kimimaro. His best chance is to outlast Kimi until he dies, but even that is unlikely seeing as Kimimaro lasted three battles before he kicked the bucket and he's easily faster and better at taijutsu than Yamato.

well according to the rules...

A contestant cannot lose due to old age or natural causes of death save for debilitating illnesses. (Ex. Broly cannot kill Juggernaut, but Broly is too fast for Juggernaut to hit. Since Juggernaut can tank anything Broly tries to hit him with, he can just wait until Broly dies of old age. This would NOT be an acceptable argument for a contestant to lose by.)

So really it doesn't matter if he is or isn't sick...

OK the rest I can understand, but making him sick just makes it easy for people to argue that Yamato could wait him out until he dies, so basically the only argument someone needs to make for Yamato is that he'd keep his distance, block and dodge until Kimimaro dies from his illness.

So how does this work yamato has fought characters a few times more powerful than kimimaro. Meaning his basic skill level strengrh, speed and etc are all better.
