No, it's a diamond falling on you from the sky against a ice shooting up at it from a much shorter distance, they would both just fall on top of her.

You don't know the scenario. Diamonds were falling down and ice was going up. Diamonds maintained the momentum and thus power while ice was traveling against gravity and was losing momentum and power. Ice is pretty fragile too.
