Kishi only defends them because of Sasuke, nothing else. The only reason Sasuke hasn't been in the storyline is because every time Kishi draws him, he has to throw it out Plus that clan isn't much on heroes lately. And not every hero is a special snow flake! They just have similar backstories!

What are you talking about? He's portrayed a child murderer as a hero just because he was an Uchiha while Danzo who was equally guilty yet had arguably more patriotic and loyal reasons was cast as a villain? He's had even Madara be simplified and cast in a sympathetic light..he's even tried desperately and failed..to make Tobi sympathetic by making him butthurt over his crush

they are snow flakes all come from special clans with special talents..the only one exception are the eyebrow dudes and they have basically been written out

the remake was closer to the comics definitely and I think they'll eventually do the dark judge story line (though that might be a mistake )
