Korra is utterly out of her depth Izumi toyed with someone who was giving the Armstrongs problems after she ran through an army of monsters

Yeah Izumi's experience in battle is much more compared to that of Korra. To me Korra never seems serious even if she was I don't See her beating Izumi unless Izumi has a coughing fit. That is the only chance she would win.

In both the manga and Brotherhood, her organs and health conditions were stabilized by Hohenheim. In other words, she stopped coughing up blood.

BTW, Izumi is considered to be one of the strongest fighters in the entire Fullmetal Alchemist series. This is someone, who as a part of just her introductory alchemy training, spent a full month surviving in arctic conditions while wrestling with mountain bears and going up against some of the most elite soldiers in the entire country of Atermis.

Oh yeah your right, gah how could I forget that part with Hohenheim and yes its just been a little while I was forgetting some of her feats I remember the mountain survival though.

Well yes, I guess I forgot to mention that as well. FMA doesn't always have the fastest speed feats. Hmm I was trying to remember her speed feats, but yes I agree her speed does surpass Korra's for sure.

There are a few characters in FMA that are legit speedsters if on a really low level

Korra can't even beat Robin she's not handling someone like Curtis

Equivalent exchange. Alchemy doesn't work like that. Earth stays earth. Can she even use alchemy on that scale?

The first video doesn't apply since this is the manga version of Izumi. The second video shouldn't apply either since the manga is the primary source over Brotherhood, but anyways. There's nothing too impressive in that video for Korra to handle, especially if she uses the Avatar State.

Never seems serious? Do you remember her fight with Tarrlok? She was about to kill him before he used bloodbending on her.

Blitzed a speedster? If you're referring to Sloth, she didn't really seem to "blitz" him -- she caught him off guard once, and redirected his force the other. It is sort of impressive though -- just how fast is Sloth supposed to be?

Korra has her own scaling with fast characters. She faced off with Amon, who reacted to bender lightning at point blank range.

these FMA vs Avator threads really are getting annoying most of the threads are everyone arguing with Bradley who is usally the only person who thinks the Avatar character would beat the FMA character.

Bender lightning is arguably as fast as natural lightning. A character from Avatar (Iroh) reacted to natural lightning the same as characters do for bender lightning.

Because he wasn't expecting that. He thought that her bending was taken away. She was just lucky

Sure, that's an excuse for the first airbending blast. But not the half dozen other air blasts Korra hit Amon with.

Korra wasn't using any particularly fancy airbending technique, just punches and kicks. Same as one might get from a firebender.

No, he wasn't. At one point Amon was able to grab Korra in a bloodbending hold again, but Korra still tagged him with an airblast from a kick. The point is that Korra was able to fight Amon, who is fast enough to dodge bender lightning at point blank range.

I do believe that Amon didn't dodge, but aim dodged, like Zuko did in ATLA against Azula.

It's completely different than actually dodging, and requires far less skill.
