Without MS to worry about and with all that prep this is really anyone's match. They are all brilliant, they are all skilled in the major forms of ninja combat. Any of them could come up with a strategy to win. However, in terms of probability I'm leaning toward Kakashi first, Itachi second, and Sasuke third. Kakashi has been fighting his whole life without MS up until recently and he's also been demonstrating a little skill here and there that gives him an advantage.

We have recently seen that he can flow lightning chakra through his kunai, we saw how much of a surprise that was for Sasuke the first time when Bee performed it so seeing Kakashi do it might have that same effect. Also, that puts any kunai or shuriken thrown by Itachi at a disadvantage to Kakashi or Sasuke's blades. Rakiri is superior to Chidori so in a straight clash we know who comes out on top. Kakashi has the elemental advantage here having four nature releases as opposed to Itachi and Sasuke who only have two. Kakashi and Itachi both have bunshin which is another advantage over Sasuke in a forest.

If you were to do a chart listing all their abilities and attributes Base Kakashi's list would outnumber both the Uchiha bros. he has more intelligence than Sasuke, experience than Itachi, and techniques than either one. Of course Sasuke could just use his day of prep to heat up the atmosphere, then the next morning as soon as the fight starts he can just rain down Kirin and kill them both.

Edit: Whoever said Kirin destroyed a mountain must be confused, it destroyed the old Uchiha hideout they were fighting in which is probably the equivalent of destroying the Kage Mansion, but a mountain not even close.

Yeah I think it tilts the odds too much in Sasuke's favor. I mean even if they know of it, without MS there is nothing Kakashi or Itachi can do about it, other than not show up the next morning for the fight.

firstly how do you figure that itachi is faster than sasuke wait let me guess "itachi was sick!" typical
a half blind weakened sasuke after fighting danzo was able to keep up with kakashi
where as we have never seen any huge speed feats from itachi
kakashi obviously has the ninjutsu advantage
but sasuke has the taijutsu advantage thanks to his kenjutsu/taijutsu mix
itachi has the knowledge advantage
but kakashi has the overall skill advantage rarely does he use ms anyway
mixed with his skill and knowledge kakashi wins this

Sasuke was healed by Karin near the end of the Danzo fight. Sasuke didn't start getting blind till the end of his fight with Kakashi. Its not like he was drained.

Huge speed feats from Itachi? Well he pretty much blitzed Bee. Bee was straing him in the face yet Itachi still bested him.

Sasuke has the advantage in CQC due to chidori stream. Any other way, no. Kakashi can counter chidori blade, Itachi just does his thing really. Sasuke's kenjutsu hasn't really improved since his fight with Itachi.

If Kakashi wanted he could just Kamui off the bat. I mean with that stamina he's built up, he'll be find kamui-ing a head or two.

When it comes to base skills. Itachi is a superior version of sasuke. And kakashi is allaround good.

So looking at how the last confrontation between them went (getting trapped in a genjutsu before he could even do anything) i see itachi winning this. Really all he has to do in the fight is point /look. In case of kamui Itachi can always decieve with his clones with he has i think(correct me if i am wrong).

Except if kakashi covers his eyes with the prep but then how would he even dodge itachi fire balls/shurikens.

What would these 3 characters even do with prep?

I'd have to say Kakashi would defeat Sasuke but Itachi is somewhat superior to Kakashi. So, I'd say Itachi has slightly better chance!!!

Sasuke was essentially defeated by base Killer Bee with help from Juugo and Suigetsu.
sasuke lost thier intial sword fight sure but he had no problem dealing with his cloaked speed his problem was that he let his guard don not knowing that genjutsu does not work on kyuubi

By skill you mean experience? Itachi was taught by Anbu and casually entered the Akatsuki in his teenage years, where he spent 10 years clashing and defeating S-ranked individuals. Kakashi hardly has an experience advantage. He just received his MS not two years ago.
kakashi was anbu as well and alot of itachi's skill is based on his ms techs(don't look him in the eye)

He's slower, has less chakra, and if Killer Bee failed to land a single shot with 8 blades I fail to see how Kakashi manages to fatally wound Itachi, let alone survive a single counter blitz.
how does kakashi have less chakra both get drained of power when using ms the only difference is that during itachi's all out fight he wanted to and was inevitably dieing

to be honest if you want to go by chakra sasuke has more than them both

sasuke uses his ms techs all day and has enough chakra to defeat 2/5 kages gaara and A
plus from what i've seen he beat itachi in thier all aspects of thier fight other than jutsuin red

Sasuke is the least impressive with prep. The most he's done is use clutch shurikens against Deidara and Genjutsu against Orochimaru, who would have defeated him otherwise. He shouldn't have been able to release the shurikens in plain sight, that is entirely plot influence in my opinion he lost to Deidara before the battle started. From that point he survived out of MS and luck alone.

Sasuke doesn't have much of a chance at outsmarting Itachi and Kakashi. Firestyle is wiped out with Kakashi's waterwall and blocked with mudwall, or overpowered by Itachi's own fireball. Sasuke is near equal speed to Kakashi, without MS the only edge he has against Kakashi is a longer Chidori, which Kakashi makes a priority to evade.

Bottom line
Itachi > Kakashi = Sasuke in speed
Itachi > Kakashi > Sasuke in strategy feats
Kakashi > Sasuke > Itachi in jutsu versatility
Itachi > Sasuke > Kakashi in ocular genjutsu

It's Itachi, hands down. Sasuke only beats Itachi in a better Jutsu arsenal, of which was casually countered by the likes of Deidara.

Saying Sasuke auto-wins with Kirin because of prep is not logical. Pre-heating the atmosphere before the battle starts clearly is unfair and the only Jutsu acceptable in my eyes during prep is summoning. Why? Because they stay there until no longer needed, regardless of when the opponent shows themselves. Sasuke has no idea when the battle will begin, therefore heating the atmosphere ahead of time is not a valid strategy. Moreover, the battle is in the forest of death, meaning of course they will have to locate their enemy before initiating their plans.

The answer based on ranking is simple. Itachi was in the Anbu Black Ops and The Akatsuki for 10 years, the battle takes place in a forest, he's faster than both opponents, and has a day to plan strategy. He should win, as there is really no counter strategy against him.

Putting your blatantly biased speed feat for Itachi aside (hell no he didn't blitz Bee, and he definitely didn't defeat him, do you call perfectly countering a technique a defeat, Bee transformed his hand and blocked the shuriken, that's called a counter) there are quite a few things I disagree with here.

Ok I might be inclined to give Itachi the slight edge in speed but I'd say that his best speed / reaction feats have been due to his perceptual abilities more than actual physical abilities. Cutting Oro's hand clean off with a kunai before getting attacked, dodging all of Sasuke's shuriken from close range, and evading Bee's seven swords dance are all impressive but the first one had to do with him noticing he was about to be blindsided, the second one seems feasible for a skilled sharingan user, and the third one might have to do with him not having a huge ego like Sasuke and knowing when to back down when he's outmatched. The biggest point for Itachi in the speed department for me has to be that Kakashi and Sasuke could barely see his movements even with sharingan.

It being "Itachi hands down" is definitely not true, that's obvious just by the things I see in your analysis. The two areas where you have Itachi ranked highest are either intangible or useless. Strategy is anyone's game, yes Itachi is the best but how long do you think he's had to develop the strategies for his greatest feats. He had years of freedom to plan on how he would lose to Sasuke and to think about a safeguard against Tobi revealing the truth. He also had years to think about what to do with Shisui's eye and even that plan didn't work out perfectly. And finally he had some unspecified time period to learn about the history of Izanagi and to train to learn Izanami. In battle I wouldn't place Itachi and Kakashi's strategy making abilities far enough apart for it to make a difference. And ocular genjutsu is USELESS here. Kakashi can see through it and Sasuke can see through a possibly match it as long as there's no MS involved.

How is there no counter strategy against him? In base he's got five things you need to worry about katon techniques, shuriken techniques, suiton techniques, bunshin, and genjutsu. Kakashi has both suiton and doton, countering shuriken won't be difficult for an expert sharingan user in the middle of a forest, genjutsu won't be helpful, and Kakashi can use bunshin of his own. I think you're forgetting location in your analysis. Kakashi is the only one here with tracking and concealment techniques. He can summon dogs, use his own amplified sense of smell, hide underground, or use Hidden Mist. If anyone needs to be countered it's him.
