Let me jot a few things down of what I think will happen:

-Tobi’s identity will finally be revealed and we’ll learn that he is really Kakahi’s long lost friend, Obito.

-Naruto smashed Tobi’s mask real hard that his face was badly beaten and became unrecognizable!

-Tobi would cover his face immediately and vanishes somewhere and comes back with a new mask. Damn, were did that mask come from?!

-Kishi would probably troll us and extend our agony by shifting the story back to Madara and the Kages or probably it will be a flashback of Tobi’s life! Noooo!

-Or worst, there would be no Naruto 599 next since they will be on a break again!

I really hope Kishi would finally reveal who Tobi really is in Naruto 599. Because that is one big question and one big mystery that everybody is anxiously waiting for an answer. People are even more concern on Tobi’s identity and if he really is Obito, than how can they defeat the all powerful and immortal Madara. Anyway that Sasuke’s mission.

Whoever Tobi is, I don't think Kishimoto decided it this month. I think he knew it for a long time. Most likely from beginning!!!

Obito could be Tobi if:

seeing as he was a teenager when kyuubi attacked konoha and fought equally with the 4th!! who we all know is the boss and a genius. I find it very hard to believe that this was him

I suppose the case could be made that it was the original Madara during that attack, and that madara found obito and took him under his wing. Teaching him alllll the that Tobi seems to know history and otherwise and that his plan was to die and be brought back with Edo so that he could be immortal - seeing as he easily broke free of ET.

We know that original madara has some knowledge of "that" plan whatever it is as he has mentioned it since being brought back.

But for this to be the case it is suchhhhh a stretch and convoluted overly complicated plot that it kind of makes me just go MEH

-tobi had two sharingan eyes(one died when he used izangi) tobi only had one and it was crushed
-back to the crushed point even if it is half of tobi(i'm going to assume it means the not crushed half) wouldnt his eye have been crushed
but these are points that have been argued over and over again we'll find out wo tobi is soon
