I think a little more powerful than that. You are already forgetting he had instant transmission add ftl reactions with that it would be interesting. Though db character are pretty weak physically. I can say for certain series like op and Toriko passed them up in raw strength. Their key blasts makes you don't notice

2, you misunderstood..I'm saying Roshi's moonbusting feat is not valid evidence because no one even remotely close to him did that..specialty or not until after Raditz-Ergo it massively contradicts the entire series up until that point and should not be considered a usable feat. Whether it's special or not isn't the point, the point is it makes no sense when you compare to every other feat before that or after that for a goodwhile..C Cells statement and GT feats are about the only thing that's even more invalid than that feat

1. Wow that's a really interesting sci-fi question you posed, is Roshi a planet buster or just a life wiper?

Here is a comparison of the Earth and the moon

If you take out a chunk of the Earth that large from any place on the globe you've effectively destroyed the planet. The crust, mantle and outer core would be obliterated thus destroying Earth's magnetic field and completely knocking it off it's axis, causing unprecedented disturbances in seismic activity, making oceans evaporate, exposing the planet to devastating temperatures, destroying our atmosphere, and like we saw during the battle on Namek activating a volcanic chain reaction. Earth would be reduced to a bunch of debris.

2. Well Piccolo did it before Raditz arrived but I get your point. However, I stand by my point that because it's a special move it allowed him to do something that should be out of his power range. I forget the number but I know Roshi's PL was around 140-180. The first time we saw another planet busting feat was at the beginning of DBZ where we saw Piccolo fire a ki blast to destroy some remote moon. His power level was recorded to be a 320 I believe so he was approximately two times stronger than Roshi. WHAT IS SO RIDICULOUS HERE? Roshi used a special move that let him accomplish something a character twice as strong as him was able to do.

That isn't even close to the power gap of some of those feats I mentioned in my last post. Majin Buu was probably 4 times stronger than SS2 Vegeta and Vegeta still turned him to ash with his Final Explosion. Nappa was about three times stronger than Krillin and he would've been killed by the Destructo Disc if Vegeta hadn't warned him, Vegeta was also two times stronger than Goku back in the day and fired his full power Galick Gun which also got overpowered by a Kamehameha with Goku using Kaoken to beef himself up (like when Roshi enters his muscular form to reach full power), on top of all this Tien was a few magnitudes weaker than Semi-Perfect Cell yet he held him down with his Tri-Beam Attack.

3. Well actually since Toriyama oversaw production of and helped design GT it can officially be considered canon. Of course I think it was pretty much crap and the only thing I liked was Vegeta and Goku becoming SS4's, the argument can be made that it's an official part of the franchise.

it's a very valid comparison..Roshi slags a chunk of the planetary surface and scatters the rest in cataclysmic amounts of debris..but he does not actually shake the planet apart..does not overcome it's gravity and mass scatter it..or even break it apart yet having still being held together as a broken husk by gravity

Life wiper..well potential life wiper if you go by that feat

No what happened on Namek..shouldn't have happened. it's like Freiza did some weird matter and energy conversion with his death ball that caused the core to suddenly go nuclear for some reason. Namek exploded because of some whaky fission based Chi blast

roshis attack wouldn't shake the planet apart it'd be a dead dying husk with a massive hole in it but it actually wouldn't break apart or overcome its own gravity and scatter

That's one of the reasons why what Kid Buu and the Deathstar did was so impressive,. not only did each attack overcome the planets gravity but it produced an explosion larger than the planet itself and virtually vaporized the entire thing. You're looking at millions of times the force needed to pulverize a planet

I understand that to completely turn a planet to debris floating freely throughout space you need to overcome it's gravitational pull but that's the pure way of destroying a planet, what Roshi would do is effectively destroy the planet, although the rubble stay in the same vicinity because he doesn't overcome Earth's gravitational pull with his Kamehameha, the planet wouldn't say together.

The Namek thing was an example but even if what you say about Freiza is true my volcanic chain reaction point is still scientifically sound. Moreover, by blowing a moon sized chunk out of the Earth you expose the pressurized inner core. All that condensed iron ore and geothermal energy would explode outwards. The planet would not be able to withstand it's inner core completely losing it's stability and thus it would explode. So technically you're right Roshi didn't destroy the planet, the aftereffects of his attack caused the planet to destroy itself, but it's practically the same thing.

Ahh yes they are making a good movie but I didn't know Toriyama made an official statement like that. This makes me so happy.

my take on it is that, even if going with what you say..the subsiquent side effects of his attack would do the most damage..meaning he'd be a chain reaction based life wiper

not exactly because again the planet would not mass scatter or even fragment..it'd be a dead husk in space at best..at worse it'd be a world where a piece of land the size of the south east part of the US is blown clear off and as a result it slagged up the rest of the place making it a wasteland

the statement regarding Gt was a lot less kind than I originally thought, from what I've gathered he basically compared to one of the DB AF comics floating around online

edit- I guess basically the official standing is it's not even canon to the movie universes, so my guess is Dragon Ball Gt now has it's own stand alone continuity basically a "GT universe" if you will

That's what I was always saying. GT is not continuation of Dragon Ball. It is a separate Universe with only connection being similarly named characters and some other concepts which greatly resemble Dragon Ball!!!

No matter what gundam does,they cannot defeat DBZ.

1:Speed blize
2:Super nova that will destroy the planet and goku uses IT to another planet to aviod it.
3: DBZ has too many self destruct moves that gundam can't tank.


I don't watch gundam but i know that they cannot be faster than DBZ.

Gundam is much faster than DBZ. Anyone with Quantum teleportation has FTL travel speed. Unless anyone in DBZ is FTL, they get speedblitzed.
