This thread will be for Toonami updates of any kind.

Samurai 7 Anime Debuts on Toonami on August 19
from anime newsnetwork.

Adult Swim, the cable and satellite network that is paired with Cartoon Network, is listing on its schedule that it will air the Samurai 7 television anime series on Sunday, August 19 at 12:30 a.m. The first episode will then air again at 3:30 a.m. The show will air during the revived Toonami block, and will replace Deadman Wonderland, which is ending its 12-episode run on August 12.

I wonder how many times they're going to replace that slot before reruns begin.

Anyways, I might as well wait for Samurai 7 to appear on Toonami. It's on Netflix, so I was planning on just watching it there, which I still might do, but whatever.

Deadman for whatever reason ended around the half way mark of the manga.

It's only a 12 episode series, so it will be over in 2 weeks.

It's just one of those cases where they are trying to make money off the current popularity of the manga, so they make an anime while the manga is still ongoing, and have to make up their own ending to the series, which is normally crappy.
