I'll write up an extended summary and overview of what all went on while the site was down later, but for now, we're live once again. For the time being, please post and use the site as you normally would to the fullest extent you can, and report to us on any errors/bugs you encounter!

Update -

As you may have noticed or heard, at 8:30 AM on Sunday morning last weekend, the Naruto.com Discussion Forum went down abruptly and unexpectedly. Following Comic Con and all the recent upsurges of activity on the site from our new initiatives, a large influx of users came in at an unfortunate time during late night maintenance routines on the server, and the forum was placed between a rock and a hard place. The site went down, it went down hard, and it stayed down for an extended period of time. For that, we are truly sorry.

During that time, parts of the forum became corrupted, and were at risk of being lost. We took great care to salvage everything, and dealt with some unexpected complications along the way. Extra time was necessary to ensure the integrity of the site and all of the memories you've built there, as well as bolster our resources to be better prepared for that kind of thing in the future. As you know, the site's growing, so it's about time we grew it's technical footing along with it.

You may have also noticed that the site is now speedier, zippier, quicker, and other variations of 'fast' for your forum going experience. This isn't your imagination! We took the extra time to adequately deal with the sources of the problem, and to help prevent them in the future, it's been optimized and revamped on the back end to better support our fast-growing community.

We're eternally grateful for the time you spend on the site, the community you've built, and the contributions you've all made to it over the years, or even as newcomers. You're all a hard act to follow, but from this day forward, we're stepping up our game. If you can forgive us, we'd like to invite you back to the new and improved site. Everyone's waiting for you!

I wish we would have been notified SRhyse. I mean, it would have been nice to have been prepared. Do you know how difficult life without the forum was? I barely made it, man. Almost died REAL TALK.

Just too bad that the user emails was also stored in the databases so with them down, it wasn't even possible to email people.
