1.) minatos moveset and ultimate better change. if i find the majority of the characters having the same moveset just with a added little shine to attacks i will not be pleased at all and this may result in me not buying the game lol

2.) if they really have taken away awakening animations thats just retarded and it will take away the cinematic feel of going into awakening -_- seems they always make the normal combat mode less cinematic with each game lol

3.) I like the idea of the awakening feature.

All this footage looks great. I don't mind losing the cinematic awakening animation IF each character gains one/two exclusive jutsus for in their awakening via R1/L1.

Then again, this may be boss-battle only. There's been a lot of Story Mode exclusive content in previous games, (even in Generations - cloakless Itachi; arm-band PTS Sasuke) so there's a big chance this system is exclusive for this boss battle.

And it looks like Minato vs Tobi is a boss battle too. Pretty small though... I hope they have more than just 9 boss battles this time around.

They had the L1/R1 exclusive jutsu for Jiraiya vs Pain Boss Battle in Storm 2.

This. I would like some of these features for awkening modes but I'm sure most of them will turn out Story mode only features.

I really wish they would do over the top jutsus like in ultimate ninjas 5. The ultimates were so ORIGINAL. It would take the characters ultimate to a new level.

I really think people are to worried about obvious characters being in. If you look at the flip side, they have no other option in adding those characters and other Edo characters, if not there would be no new characters at all.

This isn't Generations 2, so throwing in a ton of old characters with 10-12 new characters isn't going to work.

I'm worried about that too. It's hard to tell what they will do with preexisting characters who haven't done a lot to warrant a completely new moveset. Hopefully those characters will at the very least get a new ultimate.

Depends... IMO there are some certain characters that show hardly anything or nothing new at all during the war arc, e.g. Neji, Hinata, Lee, Gai... I don't expect their moveset to change..

doesnt matter if they show anything new or not since when did shino ever do insect bog? shino showed nothing new from part 2 yet he got a new ranged moveset..this is a example of them using the same skills shino has but showing them diffrently "yes i know he would have needed a new one since hes grown up now but still". Neji got 64 palms again it just was done in a diffrent way. what im saying is even if theve shown nothing new they can still have a new moveset showcasing their skills in a different way.

there really is no excuse imo lol

minatos awakening move looks awkward btw..i was hoping it would be a cinematic move to make up for the awakening animation being cut...guess not :/

How about this for a sub/ evasion mechanic

.Holding down the sub button would only perform 1 sub with a 2 second window to choose the direction you sub away in (taping sub button would still perform a regular sub to prevent any unintentional movement).


.How far you move the left stick would determine the distance travelled after the sub.

For instance:
Moving the stick fully in one direction would completely evade any jutsu that would otherwise require multiple subs (Oonoki boulders) or end up landing back on during traditional subs (amaterasu).

Moving it gently would move the player slightly in that direction if the attack is small/single jutsu or precision is required for an offensive counter.

. In practise:
Hold L2 (sub)-Stick left: evade left
Hold L2 (sub)-Stick right: evade right
Hold L2 (sub)-stick up evade forward
Hold L2 (sub)-stick down evade back


Note: the max possible distance travelled would be less then all offensive dashes to prevent abuse, it could be less then that of ninja move as well.

And if the game comes in Spring (considering late spring) is about a year from now so they can work on a lot of things (if they have developed most of the things surely).
Considering now we only have seen flashback battles i think a good part of the game gonna be based on that,maybe other flashback battles gonna be available in the story (Madara vs Hokage ) etc.

Theres not enough time for the Anime to advance enough on the War for it to be covered on the game,Storm goes by the Anime not Manga we all know that,i think only a little part off the war gonna be on the game leaving most disappointed but surely when the war ends it could be a DLC for it.

About the demo, I don't think we'll get that one specifically, it'll probably end up just like the Sasuke vs Raikage demo from Generations, they show it off at all the gaming expos, but we never actually get to play it ourselves.

yeah...itachi really suits my personality right now, anyhow I do understand what you have stated and I agree although that would be the safe route to take hmph.... It would be great to get a demo eventually since all other storm games had demo's available for psn/xbl. well as I have said before I am very excited about the possibility of many characters and all new ones at that....
