They need to give more Psychic types the ability to use Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Flamethrower.

Stealth Rock changed the metagame. It's the sole reason why 'mons like Charizard aren't OU. Even though Volcarona takes the same amount of damage and is OU. But you HAVE to have Spinner on your team if you want Volcarona to successfully sweep.

I think they added it as a Tutor move is because they realized that removing it as a TM didn't stop it from being overused, so they said "whatever" and made it....more accessible than it was before!


Also, SR is one of the sole reasons why I kept beating everyone during our forum Elite Four challenge, since I was the only one who used it

I'm saving Eevee in White 2 because she has her Dream World ability, so I'm going to use her for Magic Mirror (Magic Bounce?) Espeon. Plus it's Always Female so I can use her for breeding her DW ability.

I actually like Emboar anyway. Though if I could, I'd probably switch it with Torchic since Blaziken is my favorite starter. But I'm not trading Pokemon for this.

They're better than Emboar. He's useless by the E4. >_> And let me just say, he would've been useless even earlier than that had I chose him for my White 2 playthrough.

Serperior wasn't that USEFUL but it came in handy at times. Its movepool isn't that great. Samurott is the best starter IMO but I want a Walrein for my english playthrough so Samurotts out <.<

Emboar gets better moves than both when it comes to power and coverage. Plus he's not useless against the Elite 4. He beats Grimlsey and is good for Alder and N. He also has the advantage over Lenora, Cheren, Burgh, and Brycen, and possibly Marlon depending on if you have Wild Charge since Jellicent and Wailord have low Defense. I HATED Emboar until I started using it, and I found out it's not bad.

Samurott does have good stats (but the lowest of all Water starters, all 3 Unova starters have the lowest base stats of the Starters), but doesn't have good coverage and only has the advantage over Clay and Drayden if you can put up with Blizzard's accuracy. I used Samurott first and it did it's job but I found that Emboar was much more enjoyable to use and could hit more types for SE damage.

Serperior has a bad movepool and is really only good for Support or Stalling. Only has the advantage over Clay. Doesn't stop me from using Meganium though


I won't argue over disadvantages against Gym Leaders/Elite 4 because that's what your other Pokemon are for, to cover each other's weaknesses.

@Vocaloid Maybe my Emboar just had crappy IVs and an incompatible nature cuz by the E4 that thing couldn't kill ANYTHING actually scratch that, by victory road

my problem with Emboar is I like my fire types to be fast and it is not fast
