Personally I feel as though they need to remove one or the other because the reasoning behind the Sub system and Cancelling clashes with each other, While the sub bar is good, its practically useless when there is combo cancelling. Basically with both the sub bar and combo cancelling in the game the winner of the match would be determined by who attacks first. If you attack first you win cause you would be able to keep combo cancelling every time your opponent sub and then you can just get rid of more than 50% of his health this way, this is mainly whats making the Online mode seem broken, this and certain characters jutsu's of course.

Well there is a way for them both work together in a game, but that would require there to be an inviciblity frame when a person substitutes, so that combo cancelling wouldnt work the moment that your opponent subs.

Idk i just, ehh.....my experience with Storm 2 was sour to the core and seeing it happen again would disturb me by a good margin. Oh well, i guess we'll have to wait and see lol.

hmmmmmmmm i guess to get full use out of awaikening you would have to charge chakra to a decent level before hand. other wise it would be effectively worthless and a giant target. but if it's instant how on earth would you stop it when they have full chakra.

my only issue with this is if you have no subs or chakra when into the 2nd health bar you would be screwd.

I agree 100% with this, I do not wanna see another Storm 2 again, Online was the worst thing ever for that game. It was completely unplayable for me, every moment I tried to combo a person I would get caught in an ultimate -_-

its a interesting feature..maybe this was added due to players just throwing shurikens to stop the opponent awakening so they couldnt use it lol

4 subs still..instant awakening might be just for this fight...though R1 & L1 are useless when you awaken in previous games since they were primarily for supports so this would actually be a good thing to have for all characters to give their awakenings some cool jutsu's/moves. Though again its probably just for this fight.

Maybe, I hope it isn't just for this fight though...

Ikr? Most of the time it ranged through Twitch/mash sub, knockbacks+UJ, Kunai ring-around spamming, guard jumping, sub+jutsu spam from behind, cursing+sending bash PM's, Rage quitting, etc......the whole community were borderline broken beyond repair.

I've seen a couple people on youtube actually defend it lol. -_-

lol i know ive been hoping to see a recording of that fight today but it doesnt seem like were going to :/ ive seen some pics taken of people playing the demo but no recordings.

i dont think they will be plus theres no confirmation that PTS characters will feature in Storm 3 so we will have to wait on that.

Yeah I dont know how any one is able to defend it, personally the worst thing for me is definitely the knockback then UJ thing especially when some Chakra kunai's cause knockback

Go look at SpyN or Spyroul, you'll probably find a good clue on that. I swear once i get Generations for the meantime while waiting for Storm 3, i'll never play on Storm 2's online community again. It gets even worse when a freakin' puppet user spams that kind of tactic, like Chiyo & Sasori.....especially Sasori. >___< Subbing+Jutsu spam comes second imo.

ergh. well like i said before theres plenty of time for changes lol they need to adjust the subbing system if there keeping cancels and maybe make cancels take more chakra?

certain convensions should not be messed with. japan culture is all about simple yet effective.
