But really, the chapter was good. But Kirge couldn't do anything to Ichigo, but with the Defensive Blut, that was also true in reverse. So my question is how is this cage really going to work? Is it going to be the same as the Defensive Blut or something that Ichigo is just going to waltz out of in the next chapter?

If it's strong, maybe we'll get to see some Urahara in action.

However the chapter ends rather tragically as Kirge is still alive and ticking quite well and launches a surprise attack. Chad gets in the way of Kirges attack trying to protect Orihime resulting in his body getting gravely injured as on his right arm and torso are large gaps (like with Kira) and the rest (from looking at the scan) having tremendous deep wounds. Urahara is struck by an arrow in the back aggravated unable to move.
