Anyway, Sasuke was about to kill Team 7 along with Yamato himself. And that was him holding back. He takes this with low difficulty.

I mean Yamato said he was about to get serious but at the same time I'm not sure if that should be taken with a grain of salt or not, while it's true he hasn't had a one on one battle yet he hasn't shown any combat prowess, and I am really not impressed with the strength of his wood techniques used to capture enemies...Sasuke jumped right through it, Naruto broke through it (even though it was with the Kyuubi cloak), a weakened half dead Kisame snapped it. On top of that Kabuto just grabbed him like he was a helpless child, although the shedding technique was a big enough surprise to catch Itachi off guard.

Feat wise, the humongous cliff, the mile long quarter mile long waterfall, the giant block of houses he created are all impressive enough for me to consider him a dangerous opponent but he just never seems to show up.

I'd give this to Sasuke.

I think Sasuke would win, because Ametersu, and Susano'o. Yamato would put up a good fight though.

Yamato is hopeless here.When Sasuke "fought" against Yamato's team his wood got shredded by Chidori Stream.

Oh and nothing can refute that point as it's part of Sasuke's persona of the 8 deities born from Kagutsuchis blood.
One of them being Nesaku -a Kami that relates to the power of Lightning to the point of shredding trees.

If requested I can further prove this point of the deities as it's a canon fact of japanese mythology in the manga.

Yamato said he was holding back but he never got to show his strength. And like the above said, his huge waterfalls and wood creations are impressive but he never takes that stuff to th battlefield.

Wood is water and earth so even if fire COULD beat wood Yamato can use water

yamato's world of wall of trees would block any fire attack

Wood Release: Tree Bind Flourishing Burial or Smothering Binding Technique would restrain Saskues movements

Wood Release: Great Forest Technique and Water Release: Water Bowl is yamatos main move for attack


Yamato can go underground to attack and evade or merge with the earth to hide

Also Saskue would be forced to fly in the air with CS2 so he does not get hit by his Earth Spears( Thats if Saskue has a chance to )

Overall Saskue would win cuz of snakes yet Yamato would not go down easy
The only way yamato MIGHT win is because Saskue underestimated him

Yamato is great in:

Landscape Altering
Defense all around
Offensive Support (his best overall role)
Tracking

The main problem with Yamato is that his direct lethal offensive moves are lacking and that he is forever stuck being a poor carbon copy of the 1st Hokage.
