Is Skyrim any good?

I have heard great things of this game, and I don't know but it was either second for Game of the Year, or it was Game of the Year. My friend just got it, and he is saying it's pretty good. But, I still don't know. Is it worth getting?

If you have a good PC, go PC always has more features, mods, and players. I would recommend that version. Definitely the PC, even if only for the mods.
I'm a console-player, but if I enjoyed PC games, I'd choose it > the 360 just for the modding ability.

Ooops, I guess I forgot to mention that I have a PS3. I don't care much for modding, it seems like cheating to me. Is it still good with out it?

Definitely worth it. Besides the main quest, they have the quests for the different factions in the game plus tons (like you have no idea how many) of side quests available to you. Or if you want you can just ignore the quests and level up by hunting creatures you can find in the wilderness or maybe even slaughter a town if you want to. I have it for the PS3 and I love it. However, Skyrim for PS3 is really laggy unless you update it with one of the patches they released. All in all, it's an amazing game that will forever steal your soul, especially with the new DLC that's coming out (or already out for the 360).

But yeah, Skyrim is AMAZING. Still play it to this day because for the new DLC, which should come out on PS3 in a couple weeks. Look up videos by Trendkillv01 TDKPyrostasis, and other Youtubers who play Skyrim. You can always check elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Wiki for extra help.
