Q: In your opinion, which characters are the best of the series in the following categories.

Ninjutsu (Ninja techniques; excludes elemental and medical ninjutsu)
Taijutsu (Hand-to-hand combat)
Genjutsu (Illusionary techniques)
Speed (Physical speed; space-time techniques excluded)
Strength (Physical strength)
Intelligence (Most knowledgeable, smartest, etc)
Stamina (Size of chakra pool, physical endurance, etc)
Elemental (Elemental techniques)
Power (Jutsu of mass destruction)
Weapons (Use of weaponry; puppets included)
Medical (Skill with medical ninjutsu)
Tactics (In-battle tactical ability)

You can list multiple characters per category, but you must pick one as your ultimate choice. Please be elaborate and explain your choices best you can. And finally, do not base your listings on "A > B > C" logic (ie. by who can beat who), as some forms may simply be advantageous but require less skill and/or simply be hax by nature, rather than being superior.

(Note; for the "stamina" category, bijuu are excluded. List subject to change. If you feel any new categories should be added, I'm very open to suggestions.)

Why Oonki? Nagato's, in my opinion, the most well-rounded and powerful character in terms of ninjutsu. He basically solo'd both Naruto and Bee. He's shown one of the widest and most powerful variety of ninjutsu, being his main form of fighting. He possesses the Rinnegan, etc.

Guy or Lee is def no where near the top in Speed.

Why Shikamaru though? Kabuto's displayed the vastest array of knowledge in the manga thus far, imo. He seems to know who Tobi is. He possesses all of the information Orochimaru had. Via experimentation, he's been able to create a new Manda much larger and stronger than the previous, in turn resulting in the largest summon in the manga, to-date. He's improved Edo Tensei drastically, commanding a whole small army consisting mostly of high tier characters. His medical ability is near that of Tsunade.

Hidan is definitely not the best in stamina, he may be immortal but that's different.


3rd raikage by far in Stamina, Kisame was my initial choice, then I remembered the 3rd's feat in holding off against an army of 10,000 enemy ninja, alone, for three days and three nights on end. To me, that's a feat that's yet to be matched in the stamina/endurance area. Beyond that, Kisame's endurance was very much reliant on Samehada, which would steal chakra and refill his own.

Ninjutsu: Jira-Oro Can't really choose between them as I sometimes lean over to Jira, other times Oro.
Taijutsu: Gai, obvious area.
Genjutsu: Itachi, though danzou comes close.
Speed: A. I'm still baffled over how he managed to avoid Amaterasu like that
Strength: Tsunade
Intelligence: Quite frankly, tie between Tobi and Kabuto. Both have presented knowledge in a way to the point it definitely affected several plots and storylines
Stamina: Nagato. He was practically a monster with a kind heart. Stamina to me is like Size of chakra pool, physical endurance, etc
Elemental: Both Hebi Sasuke and Taka Sasuke, leaning mostly towards Hebi though. Granted he's spamming MS techs a lot but this doesn't necessarily mean his personal tactics are all ineffective, to which some tend to imply seemingly out of sheer hatred for his character.
Power: Once again, Nagato
Weapons: Sasori
Medical: Tsunade
Tactics: Shikamaru. The way he practically owned Hidan (while keeping his emotions mostly intact) is indeed awesome.

[Kuromaki]

Ninjutsu: Nagato (or pretty much anyone with mastery over Rinnegan, for that matter)
Taijutsu: Guy
Genjutsu: Itachi
Speed: Naruto in his kyuubi mode.. or Guy.
Strength: Tsunade lifted a giant sword and caused fissures with one finger, in part 1.
Intelligence: Kabuto. LOL Shikamaru.
Stamina: 3rd Raikage. He was even noted on this in the manga
Elemental: Onoki because of his kekkei Tota, but Mei's jutsu are cooler.
Power: Deidara or Madara, for his meteor jutsu
Weapons: Sasori. The dude has almost 300 puppets, himself included
Medical: Hashirama. Madara noted that Tsunade's medical abilities pale in comparison to his.
Tactics: Shikaku or Kakashi

[Godaime Kazekage]

Ninjutsu:Edo Madara (Most of the series' OP ninjutsu wrapped in one package)
Taijutsu: Guy
Genjutsu: Itachi
Speed: Minato (he can instantly teleport w/ FTG, can't get any faster than that)
Strength: Tsunade (Onoki if you let him use ninjutsu to lighten things)
Intelligence: Kabuto
Stamina: 3rd Raikage (maybe Naruto w/ help of Kurama)
Elemental: Onoki
Power: Edo Madara or Naruto (Deidara's C0 has one blast-Madara can call down two meteors and bust stuff up with the Perfect Susano'o and Naruto has Bijuu Dama)
Weapons: Sasori
Medical: Tsunade (Madara was only referring to Tsunade not being able to heal without seals, which turns out she can)
Tactics: Naruto or Minato (Ingenious plans at the blink of an eye and under pressure, Shikaku hasn't shown much in the manga and Shikamaru's "brilliant" plans have always been super obvious to me)

And I put Guy/Lee on top in speed because their speed is incredible!!! Can you remember how fast Lee moved against Gaara in the chunin exams??? He was the first one who managed to move behind Gaaras defences, and that was just early part 1 , using only 5 gates!!! Now, they are both able to open 7 gates!!!


And Shikamaru is without doubt the smartest!!! Kabuto has knowledge, yes, but that is not the same thing as smartness!!! In being simply smart, having high IQ, Shikaru outclasses both tobi and kabuto1!! They havent actually shown any skills for making battle plans like shikamaru have done several times!!

And considering hidan, why is immortality something else?? Immortality is the perfect stamina!! He can get stabbbed and blasted and shot a thousand times before being disabled!!! That is statima!!

I'm just talking about Nagato, not the Six Paths of Pein.

Guy/Lee may be fast but their not on the level with people like Minato, Naruto, and A.

I'm judging the stamina by size of chakra pool, physical endurance, etc. I'm sorry but I can't really count immortality.

Why put Lee as top in speed?
I was torn between Naruto and Ei, as Naruto's shunshin speed has proven to be faster with his shroud. But at the same time, he's inferior to Ei in terms of speed in any other form and has less impressive speed feats (ie. evading Amaterasu), therefore Ei takes it.

How is tenten better then sasori in weapons?
His entire fighting style was based on weapons; his puppets. He literally created puppets from human beings, whilst maintaining the ability to utilise their techniques. He conquered a nation with these weapons. Hiruko alone is a lethal weapon that required Sakura's inhuman strength to destroy. He's the most lethal weapon user in the series, as far as I'm concerned. He also had over 300 puppets.

I dont read the manga, so I dont know who ei is, but as early as in part 1, in lees fight against gaara, you couldnt see him while he was mid air, it was as good as teleporting!!

And, yes Sasori is probably best in weapons.
