Wouldn't this be the perfect combo?

Original holds the opponent with shadow jutsu, he then uses Kage Bunshins to finish the opponent.

This makes any user of "shadow jutsu" invulnerable in a 1v1 , especially geniuses such as Shikaku and Shikamaru.

Maybe to use a shadow clone for Kagemane no jutsu and them finish the opponent yourself. That would be better.

But, Shikamaru cannot use Kage Bunshin, maybe he can, but we didn't see it yet.

Not a good idea and its just a waste of chakra.. Why would use bunshin if Shikamaru can just simply throw a kunai w/ explosive tags to finish off his opponent..?

thus, creating bunshin will decrease the binding power of Shikamaru's shadow jutsu.. it'll just make easier for his opponent to detach from his binding..

so not really a good idea.. specially for a genius like Shikamaru..

That's why Shakamaru has Ino and Choji, who transfer into the mind, make them immobile, Shikamaru uses the shadow jutsu and Choji comes and crushes the opponent!

They have shadow piercing and shadow strangling jutsu so why not use that... or use the clones to hold the opponent instead of the shadow. Shadow Jutsu + Shadow Clones is redundant

Well in a Naruto powers draft...I start with

1. Kage Bunshin- this will allow you/me to train very fast, even with 5 clones. This greatly increases your odds of passing most ninja in skill, and perhaps passing those who are "geniuses" at learning jutsu.

2. Tobi's T/S intangibility.

How then could 100 clones (Naruto with T/S) be defeated if they phase through all your attacks?

I'm not even going into sharingan + Kage bunshin (Uchiha + kage bunshin) for simply sending clones all over the world to witness/record techniques. Since Naruto isn't Uchiha.

Still no proof the intangibility is a dojutsu effect.

People forget that Kage bunshin is a top class jutsu that not everyone can use.
Even Kakashi has troubles when doing it because of his chakra pool.

I mean, if you fight against an Akatsuki member, you always go with the basic Shadow jutsu -> Shadow Possession ; if you don't place a kunai or something else at a certain place, it would get hard to kill your opponent, so using at least one clone would help since you could have him stab your opponnent immediately.

A very undesired habit of mine is that I think a lot and after I do that I think I'm right but I result in being wrong.

Seems a little pointless, all he has to do is hang is splody tags on the opposite leg as per usual and then chuck it at them, the worst he could get is an invisible kunai at him or some other junk wherever the original stuff was.

Or you can just use multiple clones or multiple shadows. I don't see the reason to make it more complicated than it needs to be.

You can also use kunais as well, putting them at a random spot so that you can throw them, but the clone is good as well, I was thinking about the fight vs. Hidan when I did this.
