One person travels FTL, and the other is FTL in combat.
The former is Superman, and the latter is Goku.

Superman is NOT ftl in fights. Example:

On the other hand, Goku cannot travel to places at ftl speeds unlike in his fights which is why he needs his instant transmission for everything.

Just because your top speed is somewhere FTL doesn't mean you are FTL In CQC. That's like saying your punch speed as fast as your running speed.

I know how fast light is, but how fast is FTL?

If you say someone is FTL, does that mean he fights at speed

(3,0*10^8)+1 m/s or perhaps (3,0*10^8)+2 m/s or 3,0*10^9 m/s or perhaps 10000000000000000000000000000000 m/s

So, I can say two people are moving faster than 0 m/s but that doesn`t say how fast they are moving. Or I compare two mountains and say mass of each is greater than 1 kg. Statement is true but not very precise!!!

And if those are New 52 things, then they count even less since they reset most of the characters to weaker versions.
