Magikarp Vs. Steelix
Magikarp doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell with crap stats and a physical attack based moveset. Dream World's Bounce being Flying type and Physical based wouldn't make any difference either. The card game magikarp's Dragon Rage would do some damage though nothing that Steelix couldn't trump. On the other hand Steelix can learn Thunder Fang to end it in one shot.  It's such a pain trying to level up a Magikarp in the games, but at least a Gyarados is worth having.

Magikarp should be faster by stats, Steelix is one of the slower pokemon and sadly Onix is faster than it

Yet with magkikarp's poor stats even IF it went first his attacks would not do much to steelix's HIGH DEFENSE
