Pretty good chap.

Well Soi Fon doesn't like her Bankai anyway, so I'm not suprised she would let it get sacrificed to learn the opponent's technique.

But, why didn't Byakuya let Renji use his Bankai instead? That way the more powerful Bankai would still be left to fight with.

I've read a few theories that are saying Ivan couldn't steal Ichigo's Bankai, because he never said its name out loud. What do you think?

I don't see why Byakuya even used his, i mean it seemed to me he was owning them fine with out it...

I assume he waned to try and get the battle over with before the other guy came back.

Another question is, why don't the Quincy absorb the shikai as well as the bankai? Then the SS would be fish in a barrel.

Shikai is something everyone has. Bankai isn't, so it's just like excess power. So maybe the Quincy are only able to take the extra power, rather than everything all at once.

As for Ivan not being able to take Ichigo's bankai, maybe it's because there was nothing to take. The difference between Ichigo and everyone else is that they have some extra piece to their bankai, but Ichigo still only has a sword. So there is nothing extra in his power.

The captains releasing was horrible. It was literally rushing, especially when he's going to throw Soi Fon in with the, "We can't defeat them without our bankai." She hates her bankai and last time it was seen, she was literally forced to use it. Byakuya is smarter than to randomly go into bankai without seeing anything, so it's stupid that he already lost his.

The captains are already one down when they probably could have forced the Quincy into their whatever-it's-called super form by just using shikai.

But despite what I have said, I still like the chapter. I'm just complaining because I know things could have gone differently. It's exciting to see the renown Byakuya lose his powers so quickly.

As far as we know, Hisagi still doesn't have a bankai to lose though.

I think Doghead has the best chance of being killed

Dev, Ichigo's extra power is Speed boost and ability to use more powerful black Getsuga Tensho instead of blue

Well his haori changes, and his sword changes from a giant blade to traditional katana.

Seems now, if for whatever reason Ichigo's Bankai can't be taken, Soul Society will have to rely heavily on him
