So Magikarp can use surf?

Steelix has poor special defense although magikarp stats are low.

Now I do know in the anime STeelix is able to tank at least one huge super effective attack, which does makes sense depending on the opponent and Steelix of course.

It has been quite a long time I played a pokemon game so I am really rusty here.

Steelix is better learning a physical move than a special move, that I know.

Well if you are going by mainly game stats which do affect Anime in some way or the other, Steelix has really low special attack so without the whole what do you call it?

STAB or something? Steelix lacks the type boost from solar beam not to mention its low special attack.

Well it can also learn thunder fang.


Gyro ball, iron tail, sandstorm, earthquake are better moves for him.

Stealth rock too.

Its a good move to combine with EArthquake but yeah it does miss at times.

That is why I proposed steel moves for Steelix to get a better STAB at it.
