I'm sorry about that Cherry. I wrote this awhile ago after my mother took my father's side (AGAIN) in an argument and I just wondered just how far she'd go to keep supporting him...I was quite angry.

You don't have to apologize, I really liked the poem.

And I'm sorry about that. I don't know your story but I do know that I hate how parents always believe or side with their spouse over their children even if the child was correct and stuff. Sorry if that didn't have anything to do with the poem but I decided to put my two cents out there.

That actually is exactly what the poem is about. You see, my dad had an affair recently and for the first time in my life, my mother sided with me, but unfortunately he's back in our lives and back to his old self (which believe me is NOT pleasent. There's a reason why all the "fathers" in my poems are cruel) and once again is ignoring my opinion to listen to his. It drives me absolutely mad. I also appreciate your kind comments. Not many poems I write are liked, or atleast aren't...how can I put it..."judged" if that makes any sense? Anyways, thank you.

This poem is really really good, I can relate. My mom took my dad's side when I was trying to get out and get help and now I'm still stuck in the exact same spot I have been in my whole life. Of course, the social services worker didn't do crap either, but still. I think it's stupid how people side with their spouse over their own flesh and blood. But good poem
