any "good" way to use Deidara? (Generations)

So basicly, I think Deidara sucks as a character. Is there anyone here that uses him and does well? And by doing well I mean any way, even just sitting back and shooting sheet. Though, the only way I see someone winning doing that is if they were going up against someone who's really, really bad.

I saw a good one that would wait for you to dash and jump out the way then throw. Good Diedaras make YOU waste a sub first

deidara actually does fine if u know how to use him i ges. i dont.

Deidara is one of the strongest characters in the game, with some of the safest and unpunishable moves, but its funny that TS Tenten, who is probably the weakest character in the game outdoes Deidara. lol But even still, Deidaras are much easier to beat now than they were in storm 2.

Hahaha im serious, like Shino, if used in the right hands, he can be extraordinarily hard to defeat. His jutsu has incredible tracking, safe and somewhat long ranged grab, the "Float" factor(long range characters have this), and he is the only long range character with a cutscene combo, useful for cancelling the enemies supports. He is also the fastest of the long range characters too.

Anyways, I use Deidara well. I have many strategies I use in a match. One is to first chakra dash into my opponent, do two hits of melee, then start throwing the exploding birds in the phoenix way ([on Xbox] xx up xxx) then my ninjutsu (the one with the two large birds). Another one I use is to start melee-ing my opponent (after a chakra dash) then do a grab (they won't be able to defend against it because they'll still be flinching from the last hit and Deidara's grab has great speed and range for a grab) then throw the exploding birds in the owl way (xxxxx) then throw the birds while in the air (xxx [in the air]) and once you land do your ninjutsu. Another one is to use the carpet bomb attack (tilt melee) then start throwing shuriken birds in the insect way (xx down xxx) then ultimate Jutsu.

Deidara is a bad character. He is, I know. It's sad. He's really cool. I got the game for him, but he's crap. There are ways, though, you can utilize him to be better.

The first option is to grab spam. This is simply done by dashing into them and immediately using the grab. Or you may wait for them to dash towards you and punish with the grab.

His aerial kunai combo is the best, so you should often utilize it while in the air. It's fast, safe, and does adequate damage.

It's also important to give Deidara the right supports. For this, you need PTS Gaara with Sand Shower(guard) and Hidan (attack). These supports protect Deidara from his shortcomings. Sand Shower is certainly the ultimate defense to protect you if the opponent closes in on you and is able to attack you. This will save your substitutions. Hidan will lock the opponent down if not waste their subs. They will have to lose at least one substitution or be ready to eat an ultimate jutsu. Also make sure to use Gaara as guard to protect you as you charge and to cut dashes and Hidan attack, so he can strike back the enemies you blow up with your bombs.

Mainly, though, it's utilizing being far from the opponent while playing close combat defensively. Let them come to you, and utilize you grabs and supports. From far, spam your Ninjutsu and explosives(aerials are best) to whittle them down.

Unfortunately, this isn't a guaranteed victory as again Deidara is bad, but this will give you a chance and throw off the opponent from the typical Deidara playstyle.

I tend to avoid those supports because theres always a more fitting team that works better and isn't used by every person that plays the game in the most horrible attempts at being a badass only to get smacked down by players with skill(not very many of these)

Its so satisfying to beat someone with those supports. Especially if they use the same character as you. Personally, when someone uses one of my mains with supports like SS gaara/Hidan etc, it pisses me off.

Why would using good support anger you? Deidara is a very low tier character and needs help. Good supports are a must. Deidara has no combo, a useless tilt(only tilt for fun when your opponent has been knocked down/back, it's still useless), and a u2 that can only be successfully landed a couple of ways. His best support would be ss gaara and hidan. If you are looking for a preset team replace ss gaara with Pain. One of the worst mistakes I see Deidara players make is constantly spamming kunai, even if they are not in a position to do damage. Deidara's kunai do not have high priority and, are easily dodged from more than mid range. He does have a great grab and can be landed off a dash however, using that closed distance to kunai spam would also be a great idea. In such close range your hits will start landing before your opponent can C.dash. Take care tho', Deidara's kunai combos leave a space to recover before they are finished and can be dashed out of or blocked. Ckunai are a must, and if you are not using Pain all air combos when dashed through should immediately be blocked upon knj, your opponent is going to dash again making your kunai useless. I recommend staying out of the air. Of course you can play how you want but, if you do not stack support and abuse your kunai only when it has major effect you are going to have an extremely hard time winning with this character.

The reason why it would anger someone is already answered. Nobody likes to be beaten by their main character as someone uses a mass produced character set. When you fight someone that used (random)+hidan/pein or pts gaara with homing missiles it gets tiring and having to do the same strategy that you ABSOLUTELY know will work against them isn't fun. There is too many people that follow the same things that only work agaisnt bad players, or they use cheap strategies in failed attempts to win. Its like a broken record or anything flawed for that matter, if you're smart you wont use it/play it etc. But of course everyone has opinions and some people will just say "I'm only playing to win so who cares" or "It's a game so who cares how I play." or any type of excuse to get out of things.I'll stop there or I could write a book by going off topic

For Deidara I like to use Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi. If I played ranked I may sub one out for Oonoki every once in a while

It's annoying when someone uses my main with cheap supports. Like cool said, there is always a Better choice. Well. Almost always. If you use supports like SS-Gaara/Hidan you will have the same boring playstyle no matter what character you choose. Which really irritates me because Minato is a character I main and playing him the same way as you would play... Sage Naruto or Kid Lee just doesn't work. But that at least makes it more satisfying for me to beat them with Jiraiya and Tsunade supports
