Resolution to spammers

I think we all know that Storm Generations came out about two months
ago, and there is a reason I've been trying to stay away from ranked
match:

Spammers.

Spammers are unnecessarily annoying, and I am mainly talking about
ranged spammers i.e. TPS Tenten, Deidara, Shino and Temari etc.
It bothers me that people just suck at the game and then rely on
spamming to give their opponent no chance of winning at all. I know this is
partially Cc2's fault for making these characters in the first place. Now that
they've nerfed the strafe+shurikens move, it's hard to dodge these attacks
and deal damage at the same time.

Although what they did right, is that every type of character has another
type of character that they are weak to.

Types of characters:
- Melee ( Lee, Neji etc. )
- Ranged ( Deidara, Tenten etc. )
- Puppeteers ( Sasori, Kankuro etc. )

Melee beats ranged, ranged beats puppeteers and puppeteers beat melee.
It's like rock-paper-scissors.

So the main way to counter ranged spammers is to predict that they will
use a ranged character. The counter to them is someone like Lee or Neji.
Ranged characters have to rely on spamming their shurikens because their
close-ranged moves suck, especially the combo's. To defeat ranged
characters with melee characters you have to combo them to death,
because usually they use ranged supports as well.
I know it needs practice, but it's the best way to do it.

Example:
My main is Sasori, he's just my favorite character from the anime and I like
the way he just kept messing with Chiyo and Sakura for eight episodes
long. My melee alt is Lee, and my ranged alt is Deidara.

You can check your opponent's battle record before you press OK, look at
who they use most, all ranged > Melee. It's how I counter them, I use
sasori for melee people and mostly for puppeteers as well.

I wouldn't say it's Rock paper scissors. Melee characters can wreck puppets easily by constantly applying pressure

You have less skill if you lose to spammers. If it works for you, go for it. But complaining about a certain play style just means you don't have enough skill to work around it.

Seriously, all the spammer butthurt threads are annoying, and make me lose faith in humanity.

Yes this is true, most of it depends on the skill of the player, and I've been defeated by a Minato who kept using his chakra shurikens. But I've learned from it, that yet again gives me an advantage over him.

Depends what spammer it is, i only find PTS Tenten and Shino spammers
annoying. It's just that against puppeteers are weak against them.
I picked Lee after that and I raped him, but this is not the point, my point
is the rock-paper-scissors system, and to know how to counter to who.

My point is, it's a shame that people who play the game fair can lose to
cheap people who can just use the same hard-to-avoid move over and
over again.

It's not cheap. Both of you play the game fair. You just lack the ability to compensate for your weakness, then you complain about it.

Well there's obviously a line to cross where most people would consider cheap. The only people who don't consider anything cheap are the douchebag spammers themselves and cocky elitists.

I totally agree with your Rock/Paper/Scissors analogy. However when you get someone jumping away throwing chakra shurikens the key is patience. This used to be a problem for me a while back. That's really cheap and only people who have no idea as to how to fight a puppetmaster use it. With Sasori for example merely launch a range assist and then start blasting them with your jutsu. It's a cheap answer to a cheap tactic but works. Also it's possible to close the gap and use normal rushes and combos grant you it takes patience. More often than not the clock will tick out.

When it comes to someone like Deidara you're in trouble, and really need to be crafty in gap closing. Also your awakening is more than likely necessary here, unless the ranged user sucks. Unless you're really hurting don't use the awakening right away, use it when you're close to 30%-25% so it does more damage. I've beaten PTS Tenten a few times by closing the gap catching her with normal dashes, assists, and when need be awakening.

It seems the scissors (ranged) does a lot more to the paper (puppetmasters) than any other variant. A smart rock (melee) player can easily fight on equal footing with a puppetmaster without resorting to cheap tricks if they are good. I've been beaten and have beaten puppetmasters with melee easily. Puppetmaster vs Ranged is a much harder fight for the former, but not impossible.
