Default PS3 vs Xbox360

For the game, are there any differences in game play?

Also the extreme thing i'm worried about is

1) Is ps3 internet laggy (if you have a fast internet yourself). I have never really played ps3 games that much, and i'm worried that lag will ruin online play for me, and that's really my favorite part of games.

2) Is the game "balanced" in terms of characters, (like are there a couple over powered characters that are clearly a lot stronger than normal characters) and is online play based on skill or just character choice

3) Is there an online point system, ranking, or level?

4) Would you recommend getting the game, or is it not as good as expected?

Thanks for all answers

Point System-Every time you get an achievement in the game you get like 10 or 200 or maybe even 35 points some people have lik 15,000 points.
4) Would you recommend getting the game, or is it not as good as expected?
Yeah I'd recommend getting an xbox buying a 25.00 giftcard gets you three months of onlne play but you dont have to have membership to have xbox live but you do to have online capabilities
if you dont wanna get protection from hackers and a good refference systems for those trouble choose PSN.

I have a PS3, and I never had a real internet lag with it.

2) I would think it would matter how good you are at the game, and luck. Though, some characters might be better than others, it depends on how you use them.

Ah thanks, I've seen some videos of people on ps3 having to load in middle of a fight, and that seems really stupid/annoying... but i was thinking it could be their internet connection, or just the game itself.. hopefully if other people lag it doesn't effect the player who isn't lagging :/

1) You run across some people with awful internet and then you will lag against them, but for the most part you won't lag.

2) The game is not balanced at all. You can do good with every character, but some characters require twice the effort to win a game.

3) Yes, there is a system called Battle Points, you get them for every ranked match you win, and lose them for every ranked match you lose.

4) Yes I would recommend getting this game, it surpassed my expectations and is extremely fun.

Oh he meant the game.....
Points:Battle points usually when you win against a high ranking opponent you get BP depending on how high rank the person you beat is.

1) It depends on the person's internet connection.

2) No, not really. Like someone else said, some characters take more effort to win. And it also depends on what fighting style you prefer, so choose characters you think you are good at using.

As for online play, it can go either way. You can play matches just for fun, or play ranked matches against those in your skill level (or higher) or connection.

3) You get battle points for every win and accumulated battle points increases your overall rank. As for playing against a higher battle points opponent, what you get depends on how high their BP's are. But I have no idea of the specific breakdown of the points you can get.

4) It's all a matter of opinion. For me, the game was good, but not worth my $60. I would have rather bought it at around half the price. Some things I didn't like were the fact that the story mode wasn't very enjoyable to me. I wanted to explore the Naruto Universe and things like that, not play a specific character's story. It feels like to me that Story Mode got the short end of the stick. I like how you can get to explore certain characters more, but you can get the entire Story Mode finished within a couple hours. I needed more "replay value".

Another thing I didn't like (and some of you might agree) is the fact that support characters aren't playable. I can see some support characters being unplayable since we don't know a whole lot about their abilities, but I know in past Ultimate Ninja games that Shizune, Kurenai, the Sound Four for example were all playable characters.

I think they should have added a little more variety of ninjutsu and Ultimate Jutsu for each character. It gets kind of repetitive to keep using the same thing over and over again, especially against COM's to win a battle.

The substitution justsu bar is nice, since it kind of solves the spammer character problems, but it doesn't really help when you want to attack someone and your bar's all gone and your enemy attacks you full swing until the bar's refilled.

One thing I liked was the addition of tournament and survival modes. It's a good challenge. And once you're done with Story, Tournament, and Survival modes, the only thing the game's good for is getting all the achievements and finding friends to play with.

Sorry about my little "soapbox". This is what I thought about the game overall and I wanted to let you know. Let us know if you decide to get the game or not.

1.) Never have any major issues with PSN.

2.) It's my first Naruto game, however I have been playing a little bit of 2, and I would say it's quite a bit more balanced. Far from perfect, but it's decent. Most of it is based on skill, and the rest a little bit of luck. Say for a few broken techniques on a handful of characters that can be easily exploited by someone who derives fun not from challenge, but from their ranking. However, it's not that bad if you're just looking to have fun. It gets very, very bad in super high ranked matches from what I understand.

3.) Yes the game records your wins, losses, disconnected, and basic stats in each mode. In ranked matches it awards you BP (battle points). You get a tiny amount from someone ranked much lower than yourself. You get a fair amount against someone around your own rank. You get a massive amount by defeating opponents of a much higher rank. Like I recently defeated someone with 180k BP roughly while I had roughly 4k. I earned 2,000 BP from that victory alone.

4.) If you're a Naruto fan, even if just casual fan I would recommend it! It's easy to learn, but takes a lot of strategy to be really good. It's a really fun game all and all, and I'm glad I got it. It runs fine on the PS3, don't know about the 360 version though I would assume it's on par. I may get it for the 360 eventually because a friend in r/l played it on my PS3 with me and she decided to get it on her 360, the only console in her household. It hooks people with it's fun factor. So, yes I would certainly recommend it.
