Not to mention the fact that with Kushina in a weaken state as she was, Naruto's death would had weaken the seal anyway & would had been the same results, except there would had been a dead Naruto too, so to say he failed is just a failed statement.

u guys need to account instinct in matters...If Tobi hadn't plant paper bomb on naruto, Minato wouldn't have jumped outta the room. He'd have tried to protect both naruto and Kushina. How'd he have known the outcome? would you?

Case in point, Danzo tried to prevent kyuubi from being captured by Akatsuki and/or running amok in the village.

Nope not really based off Tobi's level of skill and current power if Minato didn't save Naruto currently the world would end. Tobi would just capture the other bijuu and one shot them all.

In no way did Minato fail. He did exactly what he was supposed to do as Hokage. He protected the village with a kind and loving hand and then when it came under crisis, he made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that the village survive and have protection from the likes of Madara by sealing the Fox into Naruto so he could be strong enough to fight against all odds.

as hokage your jobis to protect the villege the moment naruto was born he was part of the village. on top of that as soon as he was born tobi poped in and minato noticed something strage about him. you cannot hold minato the 4th hokage resposable for what happened. yes lives were lost but as hokage not only did he protect his son but he defeted tobi and sealed the nine tails. war is inevetable attacks happen and that was what this was either way i believe tobi would have had his way. remember tobi didnt lose he retreated when the nine tails was taken from him. bigger plans he had i guess. the fact the the 4th did all of this and gave his life to make his son a jinchuriki, which in turn now has the leaf as one of the strongest villages which is in fact protecting the village. he did his job hands down and they always refer to him as one of the greatest hokages.

Yeah, because hiding underground every time the village gets attacked and even planning two of the attacks just so he can be Hokage is really selfless

Danzo did everything for the village. Only problem is that he wasn`t really smart and not particularly skilled except in battle!!!

wow this thread isint about danzo but minato. the little power he had as hokage was short lived he got killed, at no sake of the village he is scum. sasuke is still part of the leaf so he saved the village from danzo. on top of that danzo lost to sasuke. hes not skilled enough to be a hokage. minato on the other had could take sasuke in a fight. a fight i would like to see. minato is the one on trial here not danzo. danzo is so selfish its not even funny. i would never want to see him as hokage for more than he was he took the title he didnt earn it hes all about himself and uses the village as an excuse. nuff said. minato is the protector of the village he did his job like no other could.

Keep in mind that Minato was going to save both Naruto AND Kushina. I actually think this decision was for the best. Only reason Kushina died was because she jumped in front of Minato to protect Naruto. If that was anyone else except Minato or Hashirama, the whole village would have been wiped out.

Who cares about the villagers anyway?? If they are so quick and evil to treat a little kid like he's garbage and have absolutely no remorse for their actions, then maybe they deserved to die
