Personally, Id go for Samehada since the sword has more function than Hidan's scythe (chakra absorbing, shredding the enemies, provide the wielder with chakra, etc). Also, Samehada is almost a living being which can attack on its own. Beside the ability of attacking, Samehada can also be very useful for infiltration (Kumo).
Hidan's scythe is just a tool to take blood from the enemy from which he can carry out his ceremony. Its the ceremony what dangerous and deadly, not the scythe itself.

I could absorb chakra
sense enemies
Transform into a shark
It would cut people who are not worthy
It is alive so I could talk to it
it gives me chakra

I might not be worthy to wield it but just looking at it would be cool

No one can use Hidan's weapon

It can only cut and it does not to major damage and you have to be imortall... but it does look cool thats the only good thing about it

I don't even know why this how this can be argued about. Samehada is by far superior to anything Hidan had, has, or ever WILL HAVE. Don't you guys thing their might be a reason Samehada is known all over the ninja world and Hidan's scythe is just... some weird dude's scythe?!?!
