Haku does know about the, "Hidden Mist Jutsu.". Can't Mei melt the ice mirrors with her lava?

I don't think Haku's mirrors can be melted, despite them being made of ice. Sasuke's fire style Ninjutsu was not enough to melt them, at least.

True. But even if Mei would be able to melt the ice mirrors, Haku could be able to deliver devastating attacks before she can react. From as far as I know, Haku is faster than Mei.

There's no way that Haku is faster than current Sasuke, even a weakened one.

Mei, on the other hand, has proven she can move faster than at least an exhausted Sasuke, and can probably do pretty good against the Sauce at full strength as well.

Haku doesn't survive long enough to set up the mirrors.

She is a powerful ninja, indeed (otherwise she wouldn't be the Mizukage). But Haku is probably faster than any other ninja of his age. And I believe Haku has a lot of abilities that were never shown in the anime or manga. My theory is that he can control ice completely and turn it into any weapon. It is also possible that he could stop an enemy water attack by freezing it.
This is just guessing, though, based on comments from my friends and a video game that I can't remember the name of.

Sasuke did have the Sharingan, otherwise I doubt that he would have been able to fight Haku at all.

Sasuke only used the Sharingan within the ice mirrors. Before that part Sasuke didn't have a problem with his speed.

True. But Sasuke was also one of the best genin of the Hidden Leaf Village. No average genin would be able to keep up with Haku.

Well, I believe we are still talking about genin. Mei is the Mizukage, while Haku is ranked as a chunin (I think).

Zabuza was probably ranked as a jonin, and Haku was able to ambush him (it was of course not meant to harm him, but Zabuza was truly not aware of Haku's presence from what I've heard, meaning Haku could sneak up on most jonin that are equally skilled with Zabuza, and kill them using his needles).
