I read that about four or five years ago along with several of his other scifi works. Remember andromeda strain and sphere? I also read JP that year good books and chriton was also the creator of E.R.

And yeah he can be a bit preachy with his work

Damn that brings me back I read that when I was like 11 or at least my younger sister sort of read it to me. She was quite precocious. >.>

Sphere I never read but I probably should...AS was well, it was serious business
