This chapter was boring, but the jutsu Kabuto used was cool.

I actually liked this chapter, considering Kabuto is one of my favorite characters. The last panel gave me chills for some odd reason.

Definitely one of the most pointless chapters out there. So Kabuto was in foster care, who cares? Not very relevant to what's happening right now. I want some updates on Naruto, not random stuff about nasty Kabutochimaru. Who should die. Like right now.

Heh it was a meh chapter and I read it with little interest well the flashback part that is the beginning part with the action was awesome and Itachi's speech though cliche was awesome and even predetermines Kabuto's demise and development for Itachi.....but I understand it.

In this flashback there 3 points that were introduced that made it really relevant to Kabuto's character. His name(helmet), amnesia, and his glasses

1. The amnesia...it was never revealed that Kabuto suffered from amnesia and explain his behavior for not caring about what others gave him for its just a code or a fake message to him. All he cares about was the truth so if he never knew his name and past he saw everything else as a lie, even his own existence and is trying to validate his own existence by becoming a Sage.

2.The helmet signify how he got the name "Kabuto" and that name he saw it as nothing more as just a code name. Sorta like Kisame's POV but in a more personal sense where Kisame thought the world is just full of lies and liars but Kabuto saw his name and existence as lies. I guess the only thing he thought as true was his real name and his forgotten memories. He saw his foster nun mother and Medical father as just lies and viewed only the parents he don't remember as true.

3. The glasses his foster nun mother gave him out of love. He saw them as lies too but at the first time he appreciated her kindness but I guess something happened to him that caused him to view the glasses as just a code. Something others just gave him so they can use him. Although Kabuto feels that way about his name and his glasses he still keeps them for all this time. I guess he just doesn't know it but somewhere deep inside him he appreciates his glasses and his name.

He is like those characters who forgets their past and tries everything to remember it. However, there is more to it than that. He doesn't remember his true name but doesn't longs to know it and even denies the name he was given so he uses it as a code name and glasses as part of his code name. He accepts the fact for not knowing his name or remember his real parents or memories he believes he has nothing. That his name is the most important part about his existence and Kabuto Yakushi is just a code name. His entire existence of always being used as a spy for the Leaf, Sasori, and Orochimaru are just lies and that in reality he is nothing just someone elses property. After Orochimaru's death he wanted to become somebody so he sought out to become a Sage to validate his existence.

There is also his connection to Naruto or being a parallel to Naruto.

He just like Naruto didn't know who his parents were and had nothing but they both had people who cared for them but Naruto was grateful for it while Kabuto wasn't.

Kabuto is like Naruto's 4th parallel (Sasuke, Nagato, & Gaara).

An Ok chapter I enjoyed the flashback. We need that.. I noticed few things I think worth mentioning..

1. Kabuto confirmed that Rikudo Sennin is also a Sage ( Nature energy user )

2. Itachi is baby sitting Sasuke.. Kabuto owned Sasuke twice now..

3. Itachi saving Sasuke with Susanoo doesnt make any sense.. Sasuke can unleash Susanoo anytime.. or could it be the part of the Izanami already? and Itachi is making Kabuto to reveal his past experiences to change future..??

Yeah I doubt #3 heck I even doubt all those 3 points but maybe not #2.

point #1. Kabuto said that he is closer to the Rikudo Sennin than any other person in this world and we all know that part of his goal is to attain/reveal the secret of the Rikudo's prowess..

To obtain Sharringan..

Kabuto already have.. Sage Mode, Uzumaki's recovery and Senju DNA.. by gaining Sharringan or by taking over Sasuke's body he would be able to unlock Rinnegan..

with Recovery + Rinnegan + Sage Mode.. He would be able to do everything..

Probably not, his glasses were already smashed once in the very beginning of Naruto.

I join those that still hate Kabuto, but seeing his story was sad.....had he chosen another path, he would be one of my favorite characters

For a flashback chapter, it was decent, not good, but not bad either

A little disappointing since I was curious as hell about Inzanami.
Kabuto's story is kinda touching, to be honest , also, are the glasses he's wearing his mother's? If so, then he's pretty much an emotional guy But that doesn't change any of the fact that I HATE him.
Btw, I think some people should stop complaining about flashback. Naruto is not only about fighting.
And finally, Sasuke's uselessness is so annoying. Has the EMS and still needs to be protected and Itachi ?

Good chapter, I liked the background on Kabuto, we need more of that.

Also, anyone else think that Orochimaru is actually manipulating Kabuto after reading this chapter? It could just be an artistic emphasis on how Kabuto has realized Orochimaru's ideals, but I thought it was strange on why they still had the "shadow Orochimaru" still behind Kabuto while he was talking about surpassing the Uchia.

Kabuto's plans are pretty simple.He knows about sharingan evolution to rinnegan when senju's cells are in mix.So he plans on taking sasukes EMS eyes and combining yamato's DNA with him cuz it is originally HAshiramas DNA so I think he tricked tobi and he doesn't plan to make zetsu stronger.

and he already is a sage.

I think its simbolical.Like Kabs is inheriated Orochimarus ideals.I do not think Oro manipulates him but its a possibilty he will come back if Kabs runs out of chakra and can't control Oro's cells anymore.
