I take back what I previously said. The hardcore gamers who think winning is more important than life and will do anything to win use:

1. Masked man
2. Tsuchikage (Onoki).

These two are now the most used characters, yesterday I was in a tournament with 6 masked man. Each one of them played exactly the same and just spammed, I left before it even reached my turn.

3. Susanoo Sasuke
Half of the Naruto fan base are just Sasuke fan boys to the end so it's no surprise. You will see him in most tournaments. But he isn't a spam character which is a relief (well his jutsu can be a bit trouble some but its not too bad). And Susanoo for both Sasuke and Itachi have been slightly downgraded so you can beat them easily.

i disagreed
i play vs higher ranked players so lets say 10k+ bp and all i have seen so far is danzo,danzo,danzo and danzo lol mostly combined with 1 ranged char and susano sasuke for when u try to get close then they blok and call in sasuke they just camp u out using team all the time and its kind of hard to get close because of his super its kind of like fireball jutsu
funny thing is they always leave when im beating them lol so annoying they should really fix that giving me a win if someone leaves and making them drop even more points then normal for being a nuby leaver its just so sad

vs same rank players 1k/5k all i see is masked man and susano sasuke lol

but not everyone uses them i got beat real bad by first hokage once lol he had some skills almost gave me a perfect

the online is allot more fun then uns 2
the reason peaple dont use ranged anymore is bacause u substitute behind them and deidara bombs dont stop chakra forward anymore

top 5 most used chars i have seen would be
1. danzo = campers team users and super
2. susano sasuke = campers team users and super when u atk
3. masked man = allot more attacking and ultra using and super when u atk
4. tsugikage = camp and super + team spamming
5. kakashi = most balanced char i have seen so far good up close and range

lol 6 masked man. Closest to that I saw was 3 Naruto's and 2 Sasuke's in 1 tourney. I had to beat 2 Naruto's and a Sasuke to win. As soon as I saw the screen I was like omg ughhhh. And sad thing was in that one only 1 dude had less than 10,000 points

I've never played Storm 2, or 1, or any Naruto game until this one. However, I've become fairly decent with Sasori. I've won 9 out 12 ranked matches with him actually. Grant you I've been practicing a lot, and have only in the last few days got a handle on fighting with him. But I've found while he does have his weaknesses he's very good at confusing people with his puppet. Deidara (Guard) and Hidan (Attack) with Sasori can make for a nasty combination, but you can't win with Sasori by spamming Jitsu, it's all about manipulating the puppet with chakra dashes. It took me a while to get used to Sasori, he felt very awkward at first. I started with Haku one of my favorite characters. While doing practice matches I became curious about Sasori mostly because I love the character even though at first I found him really awkward to play and slowly but surely got the hang of it.

My top 3 currently are,

1.) Sasori
2.) Haku
3.) Hinata

Though I am tempted to swap Hinata out for Gaara.

I pretty much always use Kiba Inuzuka (PTS). He literally is an amazing character. His Jutsu is so easy to pull off and his Ultimate Jutsu can happen quite quickly which makes it fairly hard to predict
