I personally think Suigetsu stomps, but what about you guys?

Itachi uses Susanoo. Suigetsu merges with the water under him and uses water gun on him while he is still inside susanoo. gg

Water Gun. Regardless-This goes both ways. Nothing Itachi can do can hurt Suigetsu.

If he goes intangible, or uses his hugeass fish jutsu, Itachi just uses Susano'o

Susano'o wastes his chakra, he can do nothing to Suigetsu, Suigetsu can relax until there is an opening for water gun.

It depends on how much water Suigetsu can merge with. Granted, Suigetsu should merge with a great amount of water due to the location. However, we should consider the amount of water he can merge with, as well as whether any of his attacks are powerful enough to pierce through Itachi's Susano'o.

Regardless of if it can pierce through his Susano'o, he cannot just sit in it forever until Suigetsu dies of old age. He wastes his chakra as he conversely can't do anything to Suigetsu, and once he exits it he's hit by a water gun.

Suigetsu can also use any Suiton that it'd be quite obvious to assume he has, or go with the "drowning" route. Acting on Susano'o's weakness, under it, as stated previously ITT, also works.

Yeah but I never said that Suigetsu would have to break through Susanoo. Susanoo doesnt stick to Itachi's body, it is more like a separate entity that forms around him - as demonstrated by Danzo seeing the hole in Sasuke's Susanoo, Sasuke passing through Susanoo in chapter 393 when Itachi approaches him, and Gaara pulling Madara out of his Susanoo. Not only that, but it's not like Susanoo defends Itachi from below. Suigetsu can just go under the water, and the unsuspecting Itachi, who will be trying to keep up Susanoo while having no clue where he went, will be vulnerable.

Couldn't he just seal the body of water itself along with Suigetsu? Its full of suigetsu's chakra and everything.

By the way, whats stopping genjutsu? He already has to fight with his eyes closed. If not he gets tsukuyomi'd. And if he fights with his eyes closed, he's screwed.

And no Kuro, Itachi can see Suigetsu's chakra moving around underwater. He can still dodge

Because Zetsu says Amaterasu can burn through anything then it can? Amaterasu isn't burning through an entire lake, it will do literally nothing to Suigetsu's water forme and high level Suitions.

We know Totsuka actually has to pierce its target, Totsuka is useless against his water form, he's essentially intangible and the Totsuka will go right through. Something like that wasn't an option at all when Itachi couldn't tell where Kabuto was in his water form.

The water would just fall apart and merge with the water below before Itachi could start sealing. In any case, this is assuming that the Totsuka can actually get Suigetsu in this watery environment, where he can just manipulate everything to his needs.

just because you prepare for something, that does not mean that he can stop it. So Shisui Uchiha's Kotoamatsukami would not work because he has prepared for it and has knowledge.

Amaterasu keeps on buning untill the target is completly "destroyed". Sorry its just I thought Zetsu had no reason to lie. Plus when Sasuke used it on KB it hit the water and continued to burn. It even burned fire so I assume it can burn water.
