Yeah. It's almost exactly the same, but I believe the elements are switched around. I also believe the air bender they used for it was an older version of Aang.

anyone else notice how her strongest element seems to be fire even tho she's from the water tribe?

not really imho. it just that we are shown her last training session and thats fire. fire and earth can be used practically anywhere, water needs a source of water. she used earth alot besides fire.

I did notice that. You can take it like the person above me said it, but you can also derive it from her personality. She's very assertive in everything she does, so fire seems like the right kind of element for her. However, we really haven't seen much of her bending yet.

I just hope for some metal bending awesomeness.

Its heavily implied that it is earth. Look, Earth and Air are the opposites of each other.

im not sure about that. like Devroux said, she has a fiery personality and it seemed to me like she blasts fire a lot. of course i didnt count and compare the number of times she bended what element, just the impression i got. plus im dont recall any time in the original series where a fire bender up n powered down another benders flames right back into their hands like Korra did.
