Problem with Tobi and Obito being the same person:

Obito is dead. Dead dead. The sort of dead you don't come back from on account of having half your body crushed by a giant ass rock.

What if a natural sharingan means you develop Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi and Susanoo...

...But, a transplanted sharingan that becomes Mangekyo? What might that yield? Its moved from one place (the real Uchiha who once owned it) to another (new host person's eye). And, it doesn't "go dark" when the person dies. It lives on. A new place (SPACE) and a new user (more TIME it gets to "see").

To the best of our knowledge, Tobi (mind you now, we can't yet CONFIRM without a doubt he's an Uchiha until Kishimoto says) is the only possible example of an Uchiha with space-time jutsu. Izanagi is extinguishing the eye altogether to create a new reality (space and time are the structural aspects, so illusions from sharingan obviously have very realistic features and as described, izanagi is a powerful illusion made reality, possibly because it has a space-time component but anyway for more on that revisit ch. 510). No certified Uchiha that we've seen has used this Izanagi. Danzo and Tobi have, but we can assume Tobi has had a sharingan longer than Kakashi, and Danzo isn't a real Uchiha. Obviously like Kakashi, and just as obvious is Kakashi's very similar technique to Tobi's. So we've only seen space-time and reality changing jutsu used by transplant (Danzo for Izanagi, Kakashi for warp). And why didn't Danzo have any other space-time jutsu? He didn't open any Mangekyo. And then we also see this classification of space-time jutsu via dojutsu used by Tobi.

We see in the manga that Tobi uses Izanagi against Konan by sacrificing the eye under his mask. He wasn't shown phasing between 510 and 514 after he took the rinnegan back and got his new mask. So, seems to me its quite possible for Tobi to have a transplanted sharingan, considering his rinnegan is obviously transplanted.

Does this mean he isn't an Uchiha? Probably.

Damn son. Now that's debating. You said so little in so much and that takes skill. I agree with you on every point, but unfortunately all you proved is that Kishi has the ability to rape our minds. All we need is a dimensional portal and the Tobi mystery will be the greatest in all anime history.

I still wouldn't want Obito to be Tobi. Obito is a character that hasn't been around forever and he just turns out to be super strong? why would he just carry on the Tsuki no me?

It'll probably unfold onto a new character with a new revenge story, kinda like Nagato's, where we didn't know anything and Nagato had to tell the story from start to finish.

personal input. So far, only two people have been seen using space time jutsu, that's Tobi and Kakashi. Now Kakashi has a visual time and space jutsu similar to Tobi's though with the difference that Kakashi can only teleport parts of people away.
Now to draw a connection, Kakashi uses Obito's mangeko sharingan to use his space time jutsu, and to my knowledge, I've never seen Tobi's eye when he teleports himself. This could lead to the possible conclusion that Tobi is Obito because Tobi's space time jutsu is similar to the one Kakashi uses (Obito's eye). I haven't worked out all the kinks in my theory, but basically, Tobi is Obito because he and Kakashi share a similar jutsu that originates from Obito's eye (the teleportation jutsu).

I personally don't care if i'm proven wrong but I just noticed this.

As for the relationship with Madera and being old and all that and also dead...

Old argument: Half the people who look like girls turn out to be boys (voice actors don't help). This leads me to the conclusion that appearances are basically one of the more less reliable resources to turn to. Now saying that looking girly and looking old is irrelevant is not the point I'm getting at, I'm just saying that half the time I think I see something, half the time I am wrong. Like I thought Kisame was dead...and that Itachi was a stone cold killer...lots of things, turns out me and most of the fandom was wrong.

Madera/master plan/etc argument: Tobi had his own plan ("there are many doors open to me" end quote) chapter 503. Madera was well dead by then. And that quote implies that Tobi is not exactly following a set plan (hence the many doors). If he was following a preset plan by Madera, then why include this certain quote. Either he obviously doesn't care for Madera's so called plan or there never ever was one to begin with.

Dead: we thought multiple characters were dead. Like Kisame for example, pretty convincing death to me.

It could be Obito, because even if his left eye was destroyed, he could have had an advanced medical ninja fix it and place another Sharingan in it. And haven't you noticed that the eye has always been a Sharingan every time there's a close up view to Tobi? So that is evidence that it could be Obito.
