woow just thought about this Naruto isnt the only Ninja of his class not to become a chunin i forgot about the missing ninja from their class Sasuke Uchiha

but he still has to pass through the ranks,

Yep, and also, the people who have no yet witnessed his abilities personally, like the Fire Fuedal Lord. will likely not want to appoint him as Hokage because he's too young.

sasuke was promoted to a chunin i guess when the village was attackes by orochimaru remember when the chunin proctor said that sasuke already has the skills to become a chunin

yeah but he was never promoted Tsunade said it her self when she promoted shikamaru... she told him he was the only one that was to be promoted to shunin.. i do agree though that sasuke has the skill to be a chunin or even jonin but without bein in the village hes nothing but a rouge missing ninja

True, but later
everyone only refers to him as a genin,
and that Shikamaru was the only one to be promoted to a chunin in that year.

Currently he has jonin level abilities, I think.

Shiranui Genma did indeed say that.
However he left before he was officially acclaimed as Chunin.
If I remember right...only one genin was allowed to become Chunin in the second part of the exams.

but wasnt garra promoted to chunin along with temari... i could have sworn he was a chunin when he came to help save sasuke in the original series

Kentucky Posts: 93 Rep Power: 0	Possible promotion k dont really know if i should put this in a spoiler or not because its a theory but im going to any way Spoiler: Well as we know everything starting to pull together and appear as if Naruto and Sasuke will finally meet again whether it be in combat or just anything else we are not sure.. but here's my theory Naruto is the only ninja of his class to not have been promoted to chunin yet...i think that he will meet sasuke in one of the upcoming chapters and bring him back to the village and thats what is going to get him promoted to chunin or maybe even straight to Jonin... what do you think __________________ Naruto "For the record, I failed the graduation exam three times.
