Feature Suggestion!!

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a feature for notification when your reply/post is quoted by other member, similar to FB's tags.

I think it would be somewhat convenient to know if some other member has quoted your post and might be expecting a reply, say for some more info on what you were talking about. This would be particularly helpful in case you have been offline for some significant amount time or simply don't usually keep up-to-date with the said forum section the entire time. Someone might have quoted your post expecting some form of reply but the thread has now been buried under a torrent of other new threads. It could be that you have forgotten about your post or simply don't bother to go through all the old threads and all the posts, but that poor guy might be tired of waiting or may have given up hope for some enlightenment from you!!(Now this may be an exaggeration-but I hope you get the idea)

I know that there is a system of subscription but it's for threads. You don't really want to subscribe for every thread you reply to, if you did, it would actually beat the purpose of that system!

Also a direct link to the post in which you have been quoted and the option to selectively disable the feature(for a particular post of yours) would be helpful!

P.S: See what I mean?!! I won't know if someone quoted this above post and replied to it. Although, since I created this thread( i.e being the OP) and am expecting a few replies, I will be adding it to my subscriptions.

We have something a little different here. o.o You see the "Search" part on your screen right? Type in your name and click on the "Show Post" part. After that if someone has quoted you it will come up.

No, I really don't want to see that. If you want to see if someone's quoted you, you could always just subscribe to the thread.

This has been suggested before, and it was turned down.

If I were you, like it has been suggested above, I would just subscribe to thread you want to get "notifications" from.
