vs Earendil father of Elrond and Elros and basically the mack daddy grand pappy of the line of the sea kings..and slayer of a dragon the size of three mount Everest.. riding Thondor the 182 foot jumbo jet sized eagle and personal pet bird of Manwe!

battle takes place on the same battlegrounds where Eregon slew Durza The Shade..

Because Throndor was rocking a hundred and eighty foot wingspan according to some material is he literally big enough to grab her in his talons and just drop her from a high height after shredding her wings like modern Eagles will do? Or can she actually physically fight him and wrestle him

I don't know the number but not big enough. Even the remaining dragon that survived from the time when Darth Sidious destroyed the Jedis wasn't much bigger than Saphira, who Luke Skywalker isn't utterly dwarfed by.

Earendil could be susceptible to mindrape being half-elf, half-human, thus possessing the frailties of created ones. Throndor may not even be a simple mega-eagle. If he's even Maiar-class, he'd have helped somewhat in bringing forth creation. So I think he'd be largely immune to such as that. Now facing off against Saphira is another matter, but his majestic spread would inspire awe in her, and leave her vulnerable to an osprey strike to the face.

While Earendil himself has no feats it's hard to believe Eregon could take him out with a generic mind rape..it'd have to be very top notch and there's no guaranteeing him not being able to defend that

I can imagine her being awed by him

You pretty much described the level of Eragon mind and power by the end of the series. His mind was capable of grasping entire massive cities and all life forms. A kingdom or a region is the minimum on the abilityXazavier can even handle that much without the aid of cerebro. Though most elves in series has a decent mental fortitude. But the majority of inheritance fighting centered around mind breaking. This fight outcome id dictated by how powerful the bird is. Magical resistance and all that.

Doubtful 747 can get took out by a an f-15. Which is why I am debating this fight. LOTR may be the superior novel but it's still debatable which of the two groups in this thread is more powerful.

Resistance is not the only factor. How powerful said resistance is and magical capabilities. Size is not really a factor. He can easily get torched in his eyes and Saphira scales are are stronger than armor. I have read both series. LOTR is better but overall from what I read only a few characters have more powerful abilities than Eragon.
