As expected, this chapter left more questions than answers. These last three chapters proved that formulating theories about the series is nearly impossible.

A torso-less man;
a dragon;
at least one samurai from Wano Country;
a Shichibukai;
four men dressed in suits;
a guy who goes by the name of "M" (Master);
a winged creature/DF fruit user that resembles an angel;
a head of a man from Wano country;
giant children.

Basing on this information, I challange anyone to make a theory.

According to the Islam Folklore Angels are born out of fire, and we DO see this birdie among Flames.

Could also be a Harpy as it fits to Homer's Odyssey of Kids in a castle and harpies kidnapping a shipcrew.

As the Samurai's son? That'd be rather interesting, especially since the Samurai came to Punk Hazard to save his son. I was thinking more along the lines of the hazmat suits abducting children for whatever reason, and the Samurai's happened to be a victim.

Anyway, it seems like Oda's intentionally making some parallel between Punk Hazard and Aokiji/Akainu. There has to be more than just them fighting on the island, right?

Interesting stuff. I love how it's foreshadowed that they're all going to meet in the ice part of the island. I want to know who they were captured by though. And it looks like the legs were part of that samurai's head, so it's not a guy with a DF of his own.

Lol, oh. Thought you were referring to the facial features. Hehe.

Nah, Jinbe's too big of a character to permanently join the Straw Hats. The Samurai's introduction is following Oda's formula of adding new crew members.

I highly doubt Oda would purposely try to parallel the Odyssey, though. Doesn't really suit his style.

To be exact, he said he has his own business to take care of, and once he's done, he'll listen to another invitation if he meets Luffy again.

Not really. There's an emphasis of making Luffy the strongest person in his crew. He's the Captain. He should have no equal; he makes all the decisions. Having another member that's relatively equal diminishes Luffy's exclusivity.

The Samurai would fit perfectly with the Straw Hats: a bizarre character that would be powerful in his own right, but is better suited as a piece of the puzzle. Oda set this up. Every crew member has a goal. The Samurai's can easily be to find his son. Jinbe wouldn't really have a goal when/if he's done with his business.

Jinbe is weaker than Luffy, but still at a safe range. Luffy is ungodly stronger than Zoro and Sanji. They're not really the monster trio anymore, even though they are strong. Luffy can lolstomp most people, being Shichibukai level. But whatever, what would a 3rd Swordsman be for?

I don't know.... Zoro was just trained by Mihawk, the #1 swordsman in the entire world, so saying that Luffy could "lolstomp" most people at the Shichibukai level is kind of a weak statement. I mean, Sanji is probably weaker than both of them, but he was also trained on an island run by one of Dragon's closest friends and accomplices. We really haven't gauged anyone's timeskip strength yet.

Plus, in every manga it's shown that the main characters fight villains in increasing intervals of power. So not all Shichibukai are the same strength, which means that even though Luffy could "lolstomp" the former ones as he is now, it doesn't mean he can do the same with the ones coming up. And there's also that little tidbit where he can't do anything about sharp things, unlike blunt attacks.

The Fishman Island arc may have been intended to reintroduce the characters and show a bit of their increased strength, but aside from Luffy's Haoshoku haki, I doubt we've seen the real extent of what they're capable of. They're in the New World now, so there are far stronger opponents ahead. That was proven with the dragon, which was just an animal on the first island they've reached.

As for the last question, a third swordsman wouldn't be really impressive unless there's some kind of twist to it. Brook was a failure as a swordsman until he came back with his little ice thing going on. I love the twists.

The Monster Trio is still the Monster Trio.

If I recall, Luffy went all-out during the Fishmen Arc. Zoro didn't, and casually took down his opponents while complaining. To some degree, Sanji's in the middle and had shown speed feats for the most part.

And Luffy likely still loses to Crocodile. However, he is probably stronger than land Jinbei.

Brook is essentially a genjutsu user along with some random elemental sword attacks. He's not a "hardcore" swordsman like Zoro, Mihawk, etc.

We haven't even seen this Samurai's abilities. Oda's not stupid enough to introduce a character so closely to one that's as established as Zoro. Every character in this series has their own uniqueness and I'm sure it will apply to the Samurai.

I just don't see Jinbe being the final crew member. How anti-climatic in a series full of the opposite. This bizarre Samurai fits what a Straw Hat is and stands for much better than Jinbe in the 1 or 2 chapters he's been in already.

I think you interpreted me wrong. I meant that Luffy is at Shichibukai level, which allows him to lolstomp most people.
