Naruto Shippuden Episode 248 & 249 Discussion

I loved the moment when Minato hit Tobi with is rassengan! That was EPIC! And after beating Tobi, he was still able to teleport a bijju ball, teleport the entire Kyubi and his bijju ball, seal half the Kyubi's chakra in himself, and lastly seal the rest in Naruto. Wow...

That was the first time i have and most prob the last But Kushina's speech and well it just sorta moved me and the said thing is that i was in the middle of History but they both got their dieing wish to see Naruto grown up.
But their love for their son will allways be in that 8-Trigram seal

This is just a theory but a couple episodes back when Kabuto joined Tobi/Madara he brought a coffin that we didn't get to see who it was, I think it was the 4th Hokage's because he said he sealed half the chakra of the Kyuubi in himself and the other half in Naruto so the kyuubi shouldn't be strong enough to accomplish Madara's plan of RULING THE WORLD. So they're trying to bring him back to life to steal Minato's other half of the chakra!!!! DUN DUN DUUUN!! What do you think?
Btw I don't read the manga so I don't know if the answer has already popped up.

Unfortunately can't be the case it would seem - I forget if when it was detailed - may only be in the manga yet, but Kabuto says that Edo Tensei cannot take any spirits out of the Shinigami - I believe that's why Hiruzen sealed himself and the other two Hokages into Shinigami, so Orochi couldn't summon them with his technique

Awesome episodes. The animators were in top form these last several episodes - been waiting for so long for these to come up in the anime.

Minato was BEAST - teleporting a Bijuu ball and then a bijuu ball AND the Bijuu itself? Dayum.

Nice to see all the old characters, esp. Hiruzen with Enma, and the flashback of Jiraiya.

Some very touching moments, especially just before they sealed Kyuubi.

I'll admit, I actually cried. And that isn't common - last time I cried watching something animated was Bambi's mother dying.... wait, scratch that, it was actually that followed by Jiraiya's death. Damn you Naruto for making me cry!

Big moment in the who is Tobi saga!!!

Rather than a snapshot, we get to see the real consistency of his blood/arm. The Tobi is Obito and the Tobi is a zetsu clone or some other clone/split are still alive. Kagami, Izuna, shisui thories are eliminated. Tobi is either half like that arm/wrist we saw or is totally like that. Sure anyone could be half like that, not just Obito, but there is no past support established for any other character that makes it believable without bringing in a totally unseen reason on why Tobi is half someone else, or being a totally unrevealed character.

I say total clone. This is part of what Scientist Madara did with Hashirama's DNA.

Only seen the first episode in the hour special, but I am so loving Minato now. The way he worked out the secret of the masked man's jutsu (which we could presume is Tobi) in such a small amount of time was awesome. Can't wait to see the next episode which is streaming at snails pace :/

I loved the episodes. When I originally read them in the Manga, it was touching but not overly. It takes a lot to even make me think about bawling - this has me close, I struggled here...not ashamed to admit it! :P

It seems I forgot, it is kind of long... But you did say that Hiruzen and the other 2 Hokages were sealed what about the 4th Minato? Do we know if he was sealed like the others? Then again I am only throwing it out there, I'm happy just being surprised everytime. Like when Naruto's mother showed up, I wasn't expecting that... oh well thanks anyway

When I read this stuff originally in the manga, I honestly didn't find it to be all that entertaining. And it didn't really seem all that important. But when it was brought to life in the anime I realized how crazy it was to feel that way. This may be the best double episode they've ever done. Just the way they animated the attack of the nine tails on thed leaf was amazing. It gave the battle a whole new dynamic. All I know for sure is I cant wait to see the next few episodes.
