Dante wins for the express fact that he has way more experience than Nero. He was totally just toying with Nero both times they fought in DMC4. He could have beat him whenever he wanted, he was just having fun and testing him.

When did it say DMC 2?

Last time I know Nero use his Devil Bringer and Knock Dante Out and Nero Stab Dante with his own sword LOL -.-

nero is portrayed as pretty much comparable to DMC3 dante, perhaps a little more formidable mostly due to some newer game mechanics in DMC4. dante from DMC and DMC4 is portrayed as more experienced and more 'in touch' with his abilities, among other things

dont even mention DMC2 dante

Yep, even though DMC2 Dante had the most boring moveset, he was supposed to be so strong that he was limiting his own power. But yeah, anyway, Nero stands no chance. Both times they fought, he was just toying with Nero. His swag was too great for Nero to handle.
