How the balls did Skyward Sword get this far?

I don't really approve of either game getting this title, but DK certainly deserves it more than Skyward Sword.

I believe Skyward Sword is the fastest selling Zelda game. Currently at 3.4 million.

Ehh. I loved Dk and was soo close to beating the whole game.
Then my little bro somehow deleted my saved game!
And since then i haven't touched it.

My vote goes to Skyward Sword :/

You mean the ones that are only rented for a few weeks and then sold back to Gamespot?

Looked up Skyrim's sales in Japan in its first week: 75,000. Good job, only a fifth less than Kirby. Can't tell you what is sold after that because it fell off the charts.

That's across two systems and PC, and I assume the sales tanked quickly as all of that type of game do. I recall it shipped about 7 million.
And as I just showed, very, very limited world wide appeal.

If we want to go by sales, then we should only be discussing Super Mario Bros. and Wii Sports, they dominate with 40 mil + or Mario Kart Wii with 11 mil or New Super Mario with 10 mil in US alone.
